Hey Auntie Karen,
You got to remember these people are from Texas. They think they can do as they please. Makes no difference to them. Why? Because they is from Texas!!!

Of course, from my part of the woods, we just say that Texans are just tall Tennesseans. :2funny:(Being that a lot of Tennesseans went west and settled in Texas, like Sam Houston, Davy Crockett, etc.)

No, I'll be out of town. We haven't been able to make it the last few years. We used to enter Gretchie and Ilsa in the parade. After the parade, they used to let the people come up and pet the pups (they might still do that). One year, a lady asked if Ilsa was for sale and how much!!!!! I was shocked that someone thought I'd part with my little curly haired girl!!!
Awwww too bad. People did go on the stage last year and pet the dogs. I can completly understand why someone would want her - cute little minx that she is !!!
Well, I'll tell you one thing - even though I can't make it to the Texas Oktoberfest in September, I am 1/4 Texan - my granddaddy was born in Big Springs - if I hang out with Nikki, Barb, and Delia very long, I start my Texas drawl, too. In fact, I was chatting with Nikki on the phone the other day, and I caught myself doing my Texas thing after about 10 minutes!
