Title: Dog Talkin'
Post by: Leslie on June 29, 2008, 10:00:48 AM
Share some of your definitions with us.

Ex:  King Sol sez that "a chippie is anything smaller than me that is not a bunny."

and at our house, the favorite pupper hang-out spot (after IN the big bed)  is under the big bed.  We call it the "Clubhouse."  "Where is Zuzu?"  "In the clubhouse."  And of course, Loki's red sweater is her "super sweater."

Got any other favorites?

I have an office.  It's proper name is a "crate", or sometimes a "cage", but Mommy calls it my Office.  I take toys there for safe keeping, but sometimes when I get on Mommy's nerves, she sends me there for "time out".  That doesn't happen very often, though.  Usually she sets it between the kitchen and the living room to keep me out of trouble.  The door's always open so I can use it as I see fit.

Also, when Mommy says "Did you know that your legs are short?! It's true!  You have short legs! Did you know that?!", that really means "Pfeffie, you are the most beloved doggie in all the whole world!"

Cookie has her "Bus Stop".  It means she is laying in the hallway in the corner against the baseboards.  She sits there when she wants to keep an eye on us if DH and I are in seperate rooms.  We used to joke that it looked like she waiting for the bus.  :2funny:

And "final Tinkle" means one last trip outside to potty and she gets to go to bed!

This is a great topic!

As at Loki and Zuzu's house, under the bed is called The Club House.  It is THE IN place to go to when the water is being run for a baff.

Maddie's collar with her tags is called her Bling or her Jinglies.  She really likes her Bling (what girl doesn't?) and will run from the other side of the house to have it put on.

"Cookies in bed" in a sing song fashion means it's time to go into the laundryroom while mommy and papa goes to werk.  For a few cookies, it's worth it to go to jail.

Chilie's chilly dog bed is called her "sack".  Where's Chilie?  She's in her sack.  The term was coined by her granddad.

Also, when she's been sleeping in her sack and I go to pick her up, she's all warm and relaxed.  We call that being "floppy"

Randy will sometimes pick Schatzi up like a baby and blow on her stomach. He says he is playing the "dachsarmonica". When Schatzi is outside and barking her little head off at anything and everything we will call her inside and close the doggie door. We tell her she is in "time out" or else she is on restrictions for awhile. One time she looked up at me and just sighed. I swear, I think I really have a child again sometimes!

"No, Guinness, that's SANTA Monica!"  :doah:

"Is Santa Monica near Darryl LaMonica, Merlin?"

"No, Beau, Daryl Lamonica was a quarterback."

"Is that like Zorateriat the quarterback?"  :rescue:

"I'm running away from home now.  Tell Auntie Karen not to worry, I'll be back when you two are asleep."  :bolt:

I just saw this Karen and now I can't stop laughing. If I were to ever visit your house, I swear I would expect the dogs (and bunnies) to start talking!

I used to do the same thing with Max and call it the "Maxophone"
