Title: Emma's first Bowen therapy

Pia the therapist put her on a thick towel on the table and we talked about her life etc. Every so often she would press a few points while Emma just lay quietly. Apparently in humans they leave you between moves or touches, but in dogs they just talk to the owners and let the patient relax. I have not seen Emma as relaxed with anyone touching her. It took about an hour.
We have  another appointment in a weeks time. We have not to touch anything but her head for the week as it brings the heat out, not that will worry Emma who is a bit of  loner. Try to get her to drink as much as possible to get rid of the toxins and waste products, and that she will be rather sleepy this afternoon. the sleepy will be hard to guage as Emma does sleep a lot.
We think that she is moving freer in her back legs and is not as fumbly when standing.
It may take a few sessions, to see a big diffrence, Pia also said in chronic cases it may be a every month seeion when we get her right.  I would rather pay for these sessions than the vet as at least we are not pumping her full of drugs etc.
leopold may get his mum to try and find someone, you never know it may help

Roberta, I have never heard of Bowen therapy until now.  Thanks for the update on Emma!  It certainly sounds like she enjoys the therapy.  I look forward to hearing about her progress.
