Papbouv
Awwww, Patches, you are one beautiful girl  Papbouv, what does she weigh now? Her long hair could make her look like she weighs more than she does. She is soooo precious   I really don't think she looks overweight.
Hey, Roscoe, check this out!
Ooo, La, La, she is one good-lookin' babe!
Lemme see! Lemme see! HOLY GUACAMOLE!! Those gams, that coat!! SHE'S SMOKIN'!!!
Guys! The hoomans are reading!
WHAT????!!!!?!?!?
I do beg your pardon. Without being gauche and asking for her weight (really, Miss Cheryl, how indelicate of you to ask!) I may conjecture that Miss Patches would be considered a mini if her weight is under 11 pounds. Should her luxurient coat cause her weight to come in at over 11 pounds, she would be considered a "tweenie" although that nomenclature is very informal and is not considered a standard for the breed. :book1:
Dr. Leaky :2much:
"Oh, yeah, Beau, you're a real expert on Dachshunds aren't you, Mr. Bernese Italian Greyhound dwarf-Boy." :2funny:
"Shut up, Guinness.'
Hahahahaha...I stand corrected and beg your forgiveness Patches.....One should never ask a girlie her weight.....how insensitive of me :doah:
What a beautiful girl. I must admit that she does appear to be somewhat extra fluffy. I would personally call it a really REALLLLLYYY full coat and leave it at that.
Thanks guys for the lovely comments Patches weighs 13.8 # we are still going for walks actually Patches trots,Buddy walks & I ride the scooter which Patches also rides sometimes laying across the fender of the scooter or sitting between my feet. I think if I could get 1 more pound off of her she would be perfect of course she thinks she is starving.. Some one recently posted a picture of a Tweenie and I thought Patches looked smaller in perportion is why I asked. Did not get papers with Patches figured if I wanted to do obedience at a later date I could get one of those LP numbers.Did not get to see the parents I'm sure she came from a backyard breeder I got her at 16 weeks had not had any shots yet????

:thinik: So if she loses another pound, she'll still be considered a "Tweenie" by everyone except DCA, who would call her a standard.
Yeah, right. One twelve pound fluffball against those 30 pound behemoths. Who is it on the board who has King Kong and Godzilla?? LOL!
Karen :2funny:
I really do not care if she is a minnie or a tweenie just trying to figure out a good health weight for her to me he head is little compared to her body??? Not being a show dog just a pet it really makes no difference I just want her healthy maybe she will not have back problems in the future.Have heard extra weight on them is not good for their backs being a long haired dog sorta hard to tell just by looking at her.She is my first Doxie just trying to do right by her.
