And it promises to be a crazy one. On Saturday the owners left. We then had new laminate flooring put down in the house. While that was going on, my dad and brother, with the help of my niece, starting working on the fence. I ended up having to be there most of the day, so little packing got done. To top it all of, the young cat that found our house is still there. She is now being fed, since she was so thin, but we are trying to find a rescue group to take her. Randy just doesn't do cats, even though he will admit that this one is a sweet one. I hate it that someone has definitely lost a wonderful pet. It is breaking my heart and with the stress of the move is about more than I can handle. I really don't want to try to keep her with Molly and Schatzi since I have no idea how they will react and with the doggie door, she will come in too easily. She is definitely an indoor cat. If she isn't inside and you aren't outside with her, she just cries, loudly. So, that is how our weekend and the move is shaping up. I'm getting excited, but will be more so once the cat situation is taken care of. There are no signs up where anyone is missing her and I don't have a lot of time to wait. Please say some prayers that the rescue groups will either answer their emails or phones. Preferable during my lunch hour since I'm going back to work soon.

Teresa, oh my...you are under alot of stress! I hope that moving day goes really well for you. And about the kitty....she looks so sweet. I do hope that one of the rescue groups will take her, she deserves a good home. But on the other hand...who knows....maybe this little one was meant to come into your lives for a reason? My dogs have always gotten along with my cats (although there have been a few moments, but generally speaking, everything has been pretty good). You never know...Molly and Schatzi just may get along with her. I am praying that everything works out for the best for you on your moving day and for the little kitty who is visiting your house. Take Care, Cheryl

Randy may not do cats, but it looks like this kitty has adopted him and you. (you and him??)
My mom and dad ended up as the most devoted cat non-owners I ever saw. Hector Hening is now the King on my daugher Gilah's queen-sized bed!
Animals have a way of invading your heart. Betcha Randy gives in.

More than Molly and Schatzi would be Randy. He really doesn't care for cats. I've pushed them on him before, but I really wouldn't do that to him again. It's not fair to him or to them, and especially not when the stress level is already high. Also, the house is small. 1 small dog, 1 large dog and 3 humans is about it. Two of the rescues can't take her, but I'm waiting on the third to call back. I hate feeling guilty for not being able to keep her. That shouldn't be something I have to deal with right now, too, but it's just the way I'm wired. And, I still keep thinking about the person who is missing a sweet kitty.
Happy moving !!! Love the fence...... paws crossed that kitty finds a home. Let us know how it goes !
We took a few boxes over tonight and decided to let Schatzi check out the yard and see how Schatzi-proof it is. She was so funny. My brother and his family were there and so were my parents, since they had been doing some things for us today, one or which was building the gate. Right when we got there, I didn't think about the kitty, and next thing you know, I hear hissing and Schatzi is on a run around the corner of the fence-Randy still had her on her leash then. We closed the gate and after that Schatzi was obsessed with tracking that cat's scent for the longest. Finally my niece got her to run around the yard and she had so much fun. She continued to check out all of it. It will be fun watching her over the next few days. Molly has had a yard before, so it will be familiar to her. I have pictures and will post them sometime later.
Good luck moving. Just take your time and don't overdo. And have a little fun.

Happy moving and I hope the kitty gets a good home!
Well, crazy was the correct word and we picked the hottest week of the year to move. It was 92 yesterday, 94 today, and tomorrow will be 97. Looks like 99 for Saturday. I truly hate Summer here and my mood changes rapidly fofr a while when it hits.
To make this short since the battery is dying on the laptop-The kitty is still around outside for now, Schatzi is figuring out the ramp and has only had a couple of accidents inside, and that's without the doggie door in. Molly would prefer not to use the ramp, but she is doing it. We are all exhausted and I'm back at work tomorrow, but off this weekend. We will finish getting the rest of the stuff that's at the condo and clean it up since we have to be out of there on Saturday. I'll get some pictures up over the weekend.
