MONDAY, MAY 26
I went over to Patty's today ... she looked pretty good, but is still weak and 'wiped out' ... I stopped at the store and got her a roasted chicken and coleslaw, some fresh cut-up fruit, and some other quick-fix meals. (She just doesn't feel like cooking for herself). She immediately opened the chicken and and ate the two legs!! and some coleslaw and fruit! It was good to see her eat!! She still has some soreness in her back at the surgical site, and her throat hurts to swallow. Her arms no longer hurt!! She said she feels a little better today than yesterday....so each day should bring some improvement. She wears a soft collar during the day, but doesn't need it at night because she has some special pillows that cradle her neck. She isn't quite ready to come to the cabin to recuperate....said she likes her own bed right now!
She is looking forward to sitting out on the deck and watching the loons and grebes swimming around....and we will be so glad to have her up here! She will bring Willy and Alex, too.
She told me to tell everyone that she is ready to take phone calls!! She keeps the phone by her side all the time. You can also send emails to me, and I will print them off for her.....
