Eris is coming home from Iraq tomorrow! We are all really excited. Everytime I tell Sgt daddy is coming home, he looks all around for him. Sgt has always been "daddy's boy". He loves his momma, but if daddy is in the room, he prefers daddy. Libby on the other hand is a major momma's girl. I am worried about how Libby will react. She can be kind of standoffish and takes a while to warm up to people. She was only 6 months old when he left, and I am afraid she will bark at him, which will hurt his feelings. I also don't know how she is going to react when he tries to share the big bed. Both of the dogs have been enjoying having lots of room in the big bed. I think we are definately going to have an adjustment period when he gets back.
Here is a picture of the two of them helping him get ready to go:
Can't wait to hear about the homecoming! I have two words of advice for Libby come bedtime--SLIDE OVER! LOL!
OMG - how exciting !!!! I am so happy for you and your family.....please let him know how proud we are of him.......happy homecoming !!!!
All right! I'm sure Libby will come near him once he's been home for a while.Just give it time.
How wonderful! Have a great homecomeing! Libby will find her space in the big bed! :)
Good News! I guess he is traveling now even as I write this. Libby will sulk for awhile and then LOVE him! Give him a big DC welcome home from all of us!
I love that picture. I as so glad that your daddy is coming home safe and sound. As for Libby be ready with the treats and try letting her lick peanut butter off his hands. Just take it slow and easy. If you need more info I can email you some articles that should help just let me know.
Well, the plane is broken and he is stuck in Qatar for a couple of days. I am glad that it did not break on the way home. He is depressed because he is so ready to leave. Now they are saying he will start flying Wed night and should be home on Thursday evening......if they get the plane fixed by Wednesday. Now I am really stressing. I am not a flyer and talking about broken planes gets my nerves going. I will be much happier when he is safe and sound at home!!
Oh Julie...that is so disappointing! I know that you and the girls have been so looking forward to his return. Try not to stress. A broken plane is okay as long as it is on the ground!
Fantastic, the wit will make it all the sweeter.
Hi Julie
I am sure he will be FINE - especially with all the good thoughts and prayers coming from this DC gang!
Pls post piccies of welcome home with da kids! :)
