At Sinai - Sinai hospital, that is.
Friday I had a roller coaster day from the medication dosage changes and by 6:00 p.m. it was time to go to Sinai Hospital for two fun-filled days. Stress tests, monitors (20 patches on me at one point!), trying to explain the concept of the orthodox Jewish Sabbath and Passover holiday and all the restrictions they entail. AND. . . because my status is a "sick person in the whole body" some of the restrictions are waived (if, heaven forbid, it is life and death, all restrictions go out the window). What fun!
Ann, my former roommate and very dear friend took over as Head Wrangler and Bunny Pooh-Bah. She came and got me this aternoon. I THINK my dosages are in good balance. My herdies missed me and I missed them.
My son D'Niel arrives in Baltimore tomorrow morning so I'm going to get some sleep! Nighty-night!
Karen
Three night's stay at the hospital: around $10,000 - $20,000
Being home with my doogies: priceless :thumb:
Oh Karen, I am so sorry to hear that you had to go to the hospital. I hope you are doing much, much better and am glad you got to go home. I agree 110 % that being home with the doggies is priceless. But don't forget therapeutic too. You can't beat the medicine of our Dr. Doggies. Get well soon.
Darcel :comfort:

I'm glad you are home and all seems to be straightened out with the meds. Does this mean D'Niel is finally back home? I'm praying that all will go well. He may be your best medicine yet!! (we just won't tell the Herd that!).

I'm thrilled!!! I bet D'Niel is happy, too. Now the herd have someone else to boss around!
Wow and I thought my passover was tough! Doggie face licks have incredible healing medicinal powers, I am perscribing 4x4, every other hour and you can write us in the morning.
Docs love meds, I found out why I was having a weird reaction on THE INTERNET! Not those crappy pharmaspam they give you. Now I always look up any scripts for me AND the boys. Rare reactions do happen.
Enjoy your time with your son, is he staying long? can he check up on you?
Former roomate? That lady sounds like GOLD, how could you let that kindheart go? How many dogs does she have? I got a couple of rentals here in the midwest if she's interested. . . .Uhh . . .McGwire says I sound like a internet sicko and to stop being so nosy

Get well and keep your chin Up as they say . . . .somedoggy might want to lick it clean!!

ARgh Karen...really sorry to hear you had to take a hospital vacation. Are you OK now???? No fun! My one and only time being admitted was a year ago February (come to think of it, that was the month this year of Hallie's back episode and all of my scares, February is not my month either!) The worst I think is being away from the doxie kids. At hour 15 I said either I was going home to my dog or she was going to have to come to me, and they were going to let my friends go get her but then they decided to let me go home since I live so close. Hallie and I acted like we hadnt' seen each other in years when I got home I'm sure the herd went wild to see mom come home too!
Wonderful your son is home! Enjoy your time with him, I'm glad he's there with you. Take it easy and no more scares OK!!!
Thanks, David!
My ex-husband is a pharmacist in Kansas City. Finding a really good pharmacist is like finding a mechanic - once you've got a good one, you stick with him/her.
D'Niel now lives at home. He has bipolar disorder and has been in treatment in Tennessee for the last year.
You are right, Ann is solid gold! But it took 30 years or her name to FINALLY come up on the federal housing list, so I undersand her moving. But a close friend is interested in renting the almost finished apartment, with D'Niel in residence. We'll see how it goes!
Karen :ambulance:
That sounds like a great setup for D'Niel, Karen. So, did the herd miss him while he was gone? I'm glad you want need to make the Tennessee drive anymore, especially with the heart issues right now. Of course, I have a feeling your best heart medicine is now under your roof. I bet you two have lots of movies to catch up on!
LOL!!!
D'Niel laid down on my bed and got his face, neck, and ears THOROUGHLY licked by four very happy dachshuinds!!! :2funny:

and that is pretty powerful medicine in itself.
happy doxie saliva! I call the patent on that miracle balm!
All right Karen now REST and enjoy your son!! He probally missed out on some shows.
Me and the boys sat down to watch "Lost" and after five minutes we were LOST!! What the hell is happening on that show! What a scam! now you have to buy the series to see what all the hooplah is. Yeah I was cussing up a blue streak after I tucked my am express back in my wallet. Amazon is like the chotchka drug dealer of the internet . . .(I'm one of the best customers)
