Day 2: Can't believe I'm behind bars all day. You pick a fight with one cat at the vet and look what happens...and that darn cat scratched my nose! Barking seems to be ineffective. Usually that gets Mom & Dad running. Thank goodness Zora decided to join me in protest. What a great big sister. My back is feeling a little bit better, but still stiff when Dad opens the door to let us go potty.
Dad here: Zeke doesn't quite understand the reasoning for being crated, but he seems to be doing okay. He looks better, not that he looked all that bad to start with, but there seems to be a spring in his step that wasn't there for the last couple of days. Zora voluntarily elected to join her brother...what a good girl.
That's nice he has company yes Zora is a good sister!
He could look better due to the meds, so be extra careful he doesn't overdo since he is feeling better. I'm glad it's mild he should come through this fine.

Whoa, Zora, like O.K. Sis! :idiot:
Zora is indeed a wonderful big sister!! I am very glad Zeke seems to be feeling a little bit better. He should be just fine David. I was wondering...have you thought about keeping him crated just a couple extra days just to make sure everything is okay.....and for good measure? I did that with Zoe after her back surgery.
your pair sound like mine. We call them darby and joan, you don't find one without the other. BUT I must say Oliver vacated whenever Amy was in the her pen or crate, but he did stay outside looking in other than that they are one.
Roberta

Day 3: Getting some furlough time, maybe 10 or 20 minutes at a time. Geez. All this over a stoopid c-a-t. Feeling better though, my back isn't sore. Zora is still staying with me.
Dad here: I still don't think Zeke gets it, but he is getting better. I haven't heard him groan in almost 24 hours now. We'll keep it up for a couple more days.
David,
I'm sorry to read that Zeke is having back troubles. If (and I hope this doesn't happen) you end up needing a surgeon, I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Gainsburg at Mid-Atlantic Veterinary Neurology and Neurosurgery in Catonsville. He is amazing.
Day 4: Decided to wake Dad up at 6:30 AM. Funny, he let me out. Spent more time on furlough today. Went to try to jump up on Dad when he got home in the evening. He pushed me down before I could get up and say "Hi" to him. What's up with that? Still taking funny yellow pills, but they do make my back feel better
Hewwo Zeke!
I hope your back feels better and better with each passing day. Dude, don't jump on your dad. It ain't polite and it's not real good for you and your back, neither. Pssst.....make him get down to YOUR level and then sneak a tongue right up his nosey....heee heeee.
 Maddewoo.
Day 5: I'm free!!!!
Dad here; We'll have to keep an eye on Zeke and make sure he doesn't do things to aggravate the back again, but he seems to have weathered this episode.
:meme: :hello2: :apls: Woohoo!! Dats exitin' news Zeke! Maybe gibin' him da L@@K helped?! :dontknow: Congratulations on bustin' out, now...jus' be careful not to get any more cats. At least don't get caught. I'd hate to see you in da jail again.
your buddy,
Porky Pie
