with tiles do you still keep non skid matting down or what. Or do you have it at skid points ie round corners etc.

I have slate tile, so there are rough tops and no one seems to slide.  If you have smooth tile, I would think you'd need some sort of non-skid stuff.  When Gretl-Angel went down, I had carpet everywhere except the bathrooms, entry, and kitchen.  I kept non-skid rugs in the kitchen for her, and every other dog used the rugs, too.

Roberta, I have smooth tiles in my bathroom and kitchen/dining room.  I have placed non skid throw rugs throughout each of those rooms plus have placed a nice sized rug under my dining room table.  Strangely enough, the only one of my three who have ever been afraid of slipping on the tiles is my Australian Shepherd, Sheba...my doxies are fearless.  Even after Zoe went down, she wasn't afraid to walk on the tiles.  I had to put the non skid rugs down for my sake!!!!!  It makes you feel so much better....

I have rough ceramic tile throughout the entire house and the only slipping happens to me coming out of the shower.  I don't use any rugs because Guinness prefers peeing on fabric and I'd rather see it than feel it walking across a rug.  He also pees on any clothing, towels, bath mats, so my floor is barren.  Peed on, but barren! :2funny:
