Any ideas on getting Shannon a gift for taking Buddy for a week or two to get him around kids and see how he is doing with kids do not have allot of monies but would like to give her something for all the extra work it takes to have a Doberteen in your house. I was wondering about flowers not sure what to get did not want to ask on Dobetalk since Shannon most likely reads it.

Don't give flowers. Flowers have their place but.........don't want to insult anyone but flowers are a waste of money. Get her a gift certificate to a shop she likes to go to, a bookstore, coffee shop or Blockbuster. Get her something she can actually use. A $25 gift certiificate seems appropriate along with a thank you card.
Wal-Mart gift cert. She can buy dog food, or T-shirts, food, whatever she needs. In a nice card!
Gift certificate from China-Mart, er, Wal-Mart, would do great!

If you have not definitely decided to do the Wal mart idea, you might look around locally or on line to see if you can see anything dobie related you could get. I would say check out ebay but that is a dangerous place for doxie lovers. they have WAY too many auctions.
If you have puter printer (with scanner is best) and some type of printing program. I have ancient copy of print master. You can either find some pictures of some of her dobies, or maybe even pictures of your baby. Then get some sheets of the address labels. A small package is not that expensive although if you get carried away doing it, then its cheaper to get big size box at Sams club.If you dont have a print program you can find some basic ones for about $10, i think walmart or target had ancient copy of print master for 9.95..
You can make really cute address labels. Dobies are a really popular breed so i bet you can find a lot of pics of them. I would probably try to avoid doing web search for clip art if you dont need to. NOT all clip art sites are safe.
BUT if the dobetalk sites posts a lot of pics and you know she is on there, you might even find pics of her own dogs on their. You can usually save a copy of those pics by right clicking on the picture. You might really surprise her if you find some of her own dogs!!
For me it only works out to about 50 cents a page to make them, and most people get so impressed and happy to have their favorites on labels.
just remember the labels go face DOWN when you are printing. you can always run a test sheet on regular paper. If I am using them as a present I also usually have some true sided return address labels(those are too small for pics but the ones that address label are big enough).
If you find it fun to make them you might try making some for yourself with doxies. There are at least 2 hot dog in a bun pics around the internet(doxie in sub buns) and the other of the 2 is about 8-10 weeks old i think. I always admire those 2 because it amazes me that they could get picture before the pups started eating the buns!!
