Last night I bought some fresh green pepper from the produce market and put it away to be cut up this morning. Well as usual I had an audience while I cut up the peppers, but one thing was different. Every time I would cut the pepper into a strip Eddie would let out a groan/moan. He has asked for taste while I was cutting but this is the first time for the groan/moan. It was really funny to have sound effects when you cut into something.
Any and every time someone of us is in the kitchen George lets out this short bark and small whine after the bark to let you know he is there and fully expecting something from what ever you are cooking! Grace does this "dachshund sit up", that is so cute! She sits up on her hind end and puts her paws in the air. She doesn't make a sound, just stares you down. Meeko and Nino just lay on the outskirts of the kitchen so you might notice them! :2funny:
Penny really doesn't make noise - she just stares at you and gets under your feet :grin:
Well I don't cook but when Duke was a live I couldn't use bleach or any bleach products and he would go nuts. Even if I couldn't smell it he would freak out and I would read the label on something and sure enough it had bleach. So after I figured it out I of course always read labels after that.
Hansy always barks at us when the oven or the microwave is beeping, like "Hurry up so that I may beg for scraps!" Sean and I taught him the "dead" command, which he follows well when we ask him cause he knows that when we ask him to do it he often gets a treat. The thing is though, whenever we're eating, he'll do the command without us asking and lay there on his back wagging his tail for treats.
Mine don't talk. They :bolt:.. Everytime mom cooks and they can smell the oven or stove heat up they figure the smoke alarm is going off soon!!!!!!! So they will hide.:hiding: They hate the smoke alarm. Guess mom needs to learn to cook right????? :stupid: Actually the smoke alarm seems to be overly sensitive. No smoke or fire but it still goes off. :confused:

demand is closer to it, Oliver sits on your feet groaning :xfinger: :xfinger:, Amy lies on her "keep my patootsie warm mat" at he end ot the kitchen and stares :meme: :meme:, if Emma is awake she usually runs into Amy and knows that where the food is.
No door gets open unless you have them there, including Emma. The icecream makers changes tone when it is finnished and Angus passed the trick onto Ollie who runs and sits in the kitchen when the sound changes.
Vegies that are dropped are Amy's domain, she eats anything.

Well of course....we have to help mama cook.....and of course, keep the kitchen floor clean !!!!! Me, Brandy, gives mom the stare down...but Rudy keeps reminding her we are there...with the annoying whine and a yip yip here and there !!!!

The picture says it all. Just waiting. At least they do look patient. Schatzi is one of those who will make sure you know she's there if sitting up and begging quietly for a few minutes doesn't work. Molly isn't too bad. She usually only shows up if she hears the microwave and notices that Schatzi is missing from wherever she is at the moment. THEN she makes a run for the kitchen! She usually has a look like "Am I too late?"
