We need everyone to send some major rays to my special friend Brionna Rose. She is my best friend's daughter who is going to be 2 in May. She had a surgery back in December/early January to close the soft spot on her head. It hadnever closed properly. The doctors thought that would solve the horrible headaches she has been having.
Sadly, her headaches continued and got MUCH worse. They did more CAT scans, etc....and found out her brain was growing but her skull was no longer growing, which meant her brain was literally smashed against her skull. They did surgery on Tuesday to remove part of her skull and put in some screws which have to be adjusted every 12 days (by her parents!) to create a larger gap so her brain has room to grow. :ambulance: :bandaid: Her parents were told to enjoy the month before the surgery with her and prepare themselves in case she died during the operation.
Thankfully, she made it through the surgery with no complications!! :apls: She has been in a tremendous amount of pain and the doctors can't get it under control. Both her little eyes have swollen shut and her face has swollen to twice its normal size. She has also been having trouble with her breathing and getting a high fever.
Please send MEGA prayers to Brionna and her family.  She also has a 5 year old sister and 6 month old little brother so it has been especially hard on them and mom and dad too. I will keep you all updated as often as I can. Thanks in advance for all the prayers! She is still in a lot of danger and has to have MANY more surgeries to fix this problem.
I am certainly sending mega healing rays for the little girl. I will, also, that she recovers with no complitcations.
Hoping all goes well for her and her family. :comfort:

Huge, Mega, Gigantic rays coming for Brionna. My heart aches for what she and her parents are going through. Having a little girl myself who just turned 3, I can't even imagine how your best friend is coping. I will certainly keep them in my prayers, and I hope hope hope that the doctors will be able to get Brionna's pain under control.
Please keep us updated on how she is doing.
Sincerely,
Beth
I will be praying for this little child. I lost my daughter at the end of the year and she was special needs. Infant level and 12 years old. So I know the walk this family will have to go down. I also have a link to a site that might be of some help and comfort to them when they have time to sit down and read and think. Just let me know if you would like the link to forward on to them. Also, you are more than welcome to give them my address as well if they would like someone to talk to. I know my Amanda is up in heaven looking down on these babies and keeping vigil over them and I know she is supporting me when I pray. My email address is celaughter@gmail.com if you want to pass it on.
Prayers and gentle hugs
Carrie.
Thank your support and prayers!! :apls: Brionna is doing so much better it is amazing! She was up and playing on the fifth but had a minor setback and had to get put back on the oxygen again. However, the last update from her mom was that the doctors had decided she would heal better at home. I'm not sure if they sent her home today or not. I'll keep you posted.
Will keep the family in my prayers. Keep us posted !
Prayers & Rays for little Brionna and her family...
Brionna is home and doing very well!! :apls: :apls: Her mother said she was told by the doctor to "keep her quiet and calm for the next three months." :2funny: That's pretty much impossible to keep an almost two year old quiet and calm for three months so we all had a good laugh about that one. We are all amazed at how quickly she recovered from such a serious surgery and are impressed by her bravery.
She will have to have other surgeries in the near future, but for now she is doing great and is back to her smiley little self.
Mega prayers and comforting hugs for Brionna and her family. It is truly amazing how fast these little ones can bounce back from something this serious. Continued prayers that the surgeries to come turn out extremely well for this little sweetheart.
Brionna is doing great still. She got all the staples taken out last week and is not having any more headaches or pain. She told her mom she likes that her head is just itchy now and that it doesn't make her cry anymore. Her birthday is Sunday and she will be turning two!
She did have a short bout with a stomach flu and lost nine pounds. Scared us all to death! Happily she is better than ever now. :apls: I just can't get over how quickly she is recovering from such a HUGE surgery.
I'll try to keep you updated as often as possible.
