Well tonite Dh and I were upstairs taking and the girls were downsairs. Vivie was barking her head off like she does when Lulu has something she wants so we paid no attention. Then I came downstairs to check the laundry and there is Lulu big as life on the couch mole hanging out of her mouth and Vivie barling cause she wanted it~! yuk yuk yuk, THIS IS THE ONLY DOWN FALL TO DOGGIE DOORS!
Cocoa was a hunter and I know just what you are going through! Ugh! Cocoa would bring in a live one once in awhile and then it would get away. For the next week she would sniff and sniff until she found the varmint again. It was funny to see her on point by the closet door and I would open the door so she could "get it"!
How about when they turn up with a baby rabbit...in the middle of the living room...with company...and the baby bunny is screaming...
Cocoa was so proud and I didn't know what to do first...rescue the bunny or the company...
Bunny was rescued and released sans doxie.

SNAKES! Toby-Man got a black snake (perfectly harmless and they eat bugs) ... still really gross! I have absolutely no idea how he managed to kill it without the canines. I think he shook the thing to death. In any case he brought it in the doggy door. Yep...all four or five feet of the disgusting snake on my kitchen floor!
Woo Hoo - success !!!! Good diggin' girls !!! LOL - the only dead critters I have had in my house were birds. Rudy brought his in and layed on the hall carpet..... Brandy took hers to the big bed !!!

All mine kill are bugs - then they eat them. Guess they are too slow for the really good stuff!

Yikes!!! I agree that is a major down fall to the doggie doors. But in their defense, at least the little critter can't ruin your lawn now. :thumb: :grin:
Patches ran over to the big garage door after something what ever it was must have had a heart attack Patches had big back up Buddy was right behind her. Thank fully what ever it was escaped old house lots of cracks to go though.The old man put out more Poison for the mice in the kitchen cabinets I put a heavy rubber band around the doors so nosy Patches cannot get the doors open. Will have to keep her with me with the doors shut so she cannot get any where near it. Sometimes old houses are a pain but its paid for so that is something.

I had not thought about Schatzi being able to bring things in with her through the Doggie Door. This could get interesting when we move. I have a co-worker whose mom lives 2 doors down from where our house is. She says we have a groundhog in the neighborhood. I've already decided Schatzi might think she could try to catch it. I also know that moles exist in the neighborhood. We've never had a chance to find out if Schatzi is a hunter or not, but I have a feeling we will soon. Could be fun around our house....
