Saturday is Stormy's 15th birthday. One year ago last month he was given 3 to 5 months because of his squamous cell carcinoma. The oncologist at Iowa State said we might at least try this drug that had some positive studies in Great Britain. Now our boy is going to be 15, at his last checkup the vet could not see any sign of the tumor and although he has slowed down as befitting his age, he is in excellent shape, and comes in every night after his evening outing and tears around the house like a pup. Thanks all - never doubt the power of the rays and prayers you send to all the ailing dachsies, Stormy is our little miracle guy!

I'm sitting here in tears Rich. Miracle guy indeed! He has certainly beat the odds but only due to your and Debs wonderful care and dedication. The vision of him running around after his outing has a big smile on my face. HAPPY BIRTHDAY dear Stormy...I have had the pleasure of meeting him in person and there has never been a gentler soul. Give him an extra birthday treat for Hallie and me (and one for his sister too).

Happy Birthday Stormy 15 is something to be very proud of keep up the good work,of course get all the belly rubs and any treats you really like.

Happy Barkday Stormy. I'm delighted you will reach this milestone. Having met the "Battleship" and the "Rocket" it was so amazing to see how calm he was with all those other wieners barking their fool heads off. Here's to many more...

Hey Stormy, we share the same bark day, an' I'm only two years younger than you! I'm goin' to be a "teen-ager" an' Auntie Karen says she had FOUR TEENAGERS at the SAME TIME for THREE LONG, LONG, LOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGG years! So she says she can handle me!

I betcha you and I together would give her a run for her money! On Saturday, I get some sticky bun, and on Sunday I get eggies!!! YAAHOOOO!

All you wieners have highly praised eggies - so Stormy is going to get eggies for his birthday. He's never had them before - we'll see if he likes them.

And I WILL take some pics of the birthday boy and post them here.
