Title: From Patty -- still alive
Post by: PattyInAK on March 13, 2008, 12:33:44 PM
Just wanted to say a quick thank you to those of you who have sent me cards!  Very appreciated and came at a time when I was feeling forgotten since I'm not into my normal routine and out in the world.  Had an MRI yesterday, what a trip..........noisy machine!  Should have results today or tomorrow and we will know how to proceed.
I was supposed to be landing in Yuma, Arizona this morning for a 10-day vacation at my folks' home.  My sister is there and will begin radiation treatments on Monday for her breast cancer.  They got all the lumps and cancer out, but she still has to have the radiation.
Anyway, the trip is just postponed, I intend to go in the fall.
Sunny, spring-like day here, around 40 and boy do I need it.  Its good to know spring is on its way, the days are getting longer and the future is bright.  Willy and Alex have loved having me home, lounging around, napping and watching movies between my agony pain and ice packs.

Pssst, Willy. . .Alex. . .  :meme:

Watch out for Mistress Pitter-Pat (as we refer to her here in the Herd) trying to get up too soon and do too much!

You might try waiting until she's under the covers and then pinning her down on each side.  :apls:

I saw this one in a thingie Auntie Karen calls Gulliber's Tramples - or somthing like that!

Remember, she's your bestest buddy!  :headbang: (And Master Dan-The-Man too!  :thumb: )

I was hoping you'd have some news from the MRI today..the waiting is tough. Glad that is done anyway though, you will have some answers soon. Hang in there and keep us posted!

You aren't lying about the noise!!! I'm sure they gave you the earplugs, too, but I know they didn't help me a whole lot. I was just glad I didn't have to go all the way in the machine. I'm not claustrophobic, at least not usually, but I think if I had to go all the way into the MRI machine it might get to me after a while.
I hope you get some news and a solution tomorrow (and you don't have to wait over the weekend). Enjoy the cuddles in the meantime!

Glad to hear you made it though the MRI hope you do not have to wait long for the results and can be a easy fix they have improved surgeries allot now days. My nephew had a herniated disk in his neck he was lifting heavy stuff on his job they talked of surgery but his got better with physical therapy.
