Hi all.........
I didn't know where to post this , so Auntie Kari & Auntie Barb please move it if it belongs somewhere else.......
I was in a pretty bad car accident last Tuesday on my way home from work- someone hit me practically head on. Fortunately I always wear my seat belt and both airbags deployed. I'm relatively OK, just some brush burns & bruises, but am scrambling to find a new vehicle as mine was totaled and not repairable.
Anyways, I'm not posting for a pity party for me (ha ha)
I wanted to warn everyone about airbag deployment. Please, please, please be sure that your furkids and human kids are secured in the backseat. If you should choose to let them ride up front, please make sure they are secured to the seatbelt and that the seat is as far back as it can go.
I really had no idea how forceful the airbags deploy. Being a shorty, forces me to sit closer to the steering wheel and I have a huge bruise that covers my abdomen from the impact. I shudder to imagine what could happen to one of our furkids or human munchkins, if they were hit by the same force.
Hope everone is safe and continues to be safe
Hugs &

I'm so glad you are okay! Thanks for the reminder about buckling the furkids up!
Glad to hear you are ok not in the hospital for weeks & weeks sorry to hear you were banged up hope your recovery will be quick, sorry about your car though. Thanks for the idea of putting the seat back as far as it will go,had not thought of that sometimes Patches rides in the front because Buddy is in the back always afraid he will step on her he still gets her every once in awhile he does not have his brain yet.He takes up most of the back of my Honda CVR I keep one seat down & one up may try to put Patches in the one up seat in the back if Buddy ever calms down in the car.We are getting closer to that time I think I can see a big improvement in him he will be 2 next month. Have to take them to do toe chops Monday.

Oh, Dawn! How scary! I'm glad you're OK.
I'm a shorty too and that thought crosses my mind as I'm pulling the seat up as far as it will go.
Dawn - I am so glad you are ok - very scary. And great advice too !!! Take care of you - you will probably be sore for a while. Sending rays that you feel ok and hopes that you find a new ride quickly !
Being so small myself, I do think about that - in order for my feet to reach the gas pedal and brake properly, I have to pull the seat way up. Good thoughts for a speedy recovery!
Dawn, so sorry to hear about your accident and you getting banged up. Must have been very frightening for you. Thank you for reminding us to buckle our babies (both furkids and hooman) up in the back seat!!
