Title: Taste of the Wild dog food
Post by: Marcia from MI on March 04, 2008, 08:09:27 AM
A few weeks back I posted information about this new pet food I found called Taste of the Wild  , its made with natural ingredients.  Well Eddie loved the sample so I figured it would be a great food for him so I finally found it at a local pet store.  I was afraid the price would be way off  my budget, but to my surprise it was the same price as the Solid Gold, so picked up a bag of Bison/Venison for the furkid, lets see if he still loves it.

I have been feeding one of my girls the "wetlands formula" she had abdominal surgery back in mid-Jan. and this was the only thing I could get her to eat.  Her coat looks fab .... thick and soft.   :thumb:

I bought the Pacific Stream and mine love it. I mix it with Evo R/F.  I research all the foods mine eat and Taste of the Wld is excellent.

I'm glad to know this. There is a place near the house we will be moving into that sells this. I may let Schatzi and Molly try it.

Since my cats are so finicky I bought only a small bag for them to try.  Well Cleo kitty turned her nose up at it the first few days, but now she is sitting here doing the kitty mind meld again for me to give her more.   Eddie is still working on his Merrick Cowboy Cookout dry food, but will start the new stuff this weekend.  The Cowboy Cookout has dried peas, carrots and potato  in it and every morning I have to add water to it so the veggies are dehydrated,  but the rest of the day he will eat it without the water, go figure.

Merrick is also an excellent premium food--made in USA- :hello2: The only treats I buy for Gunner and Petunia are made by Merrick. The only canned food (as a treat) they will eat is by Evangers another excellent food,  it has big pieces of roast beef, real chicken wings, legs in it and the bone breaks down once they chew on it,  or you cut it.  I always look for no, soy, wheat gluten, ethoxyquin, BHA, BHT anything that has Vitamin K in it,  I won't give them,  anything that has red dye in it also.

I am looking at this and also Blue Buffalo to change my kids to.  I am having so much trouble finding Solid Gold canned for Brandy.  I went to Petsmart to pick up a few things this weekend and was strolling down the food aisles just looking.  A rep from Blue Buffalo was there and I talked to her for about 10 minutes.  I went to their website and to me the food looks like good quality.  Anyone have experience or heard anything about Blue Buffalo?
