Title: Weaning pups and Moms Health
Post by: JazziesMom on February 22, 2008, 05:47:01 AM
Hello,  I adopted a long haired, Black dachshund on 11-30-07...LOVE her to death!..Well 33 days later, Jan. 3rd, 08 she had 5 pups..just so happened to be the day she was to be spayed. The Vet took x-rays and told us she was close, ha, very close...anyway I am concerned due to the fact she is bleeding a bit when she goes to the bathroom(pees)  I don't want to rush her to the Vet, which is 70 miles away if this is normal.  Also she is still nursing briefly and the pups are on solids and getting big.  Should she still be nursing? I will call the Vet this morning when he opens.  I just thought someone may have an answer or two now...Thanks!

Hi There and Welcome! I'm really not sure about an answer on this...I would definitely call the vet to see what they say!
