Post by: jillkilleen on February 18, 2008, 09:35:19 AM
Just a quick update.  I had wonderful rays and love sent my way for my Dad.  He did pass away on Feb 8.  At home with my Mom and I there.  I am almost 40 but am a terrible daddy's girl.  So I am struggling a little.  I too for all intents and purposes "lurking".  Love hugs and rays to all that need it and Thanks yous to all we recieved!!  You are all truly wonderful.

Jill, I am so sorry.  I still have both my folks but when thru the passing of Dan's mom and dad with him.  I really don't know what its like to lose a parent, but I can only imagine that its extremely sad, ESPECIALLY if you had a great relationship with them.  I'm glad you and your mom were able to be with your dad when he passed away.  I am a good listener and please feel free to email me if you need to talk.  Hugs to you and your mom.

So sorry to hear of your loss.  I lost my Mom in 2000.  I was a mama's girl, so I do understand.  Remember all the good times, and know your Dad is in a better place.  Loving rays coming your way.

So sorry to hear of your loss, Jil....  Many prayers, hugs, rays & puppy kisses coming your way...   I too, know how you are feeling...  And, if I may share a poem that I came across...  I think it will help alot of us...

COME WITH ME

The Lord saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So He put his arms aroud you
And whispered, "Come with me."

With tearful eyes, we watched you suffer
And saw you fade away,
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,
A beautiful smile at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove
He only takes the best.

It's lonesome here without you
We miss you so each day,
Our lives aren't the same
Since you went away.

When days are sad and lonely,
And everything goes wrong,
We seem to hear you whisper,
"Cheer up and carry on."

Each time we see your picture,
You seem to smile and say,
"Don't cry, I'm in God's keeping,
We'll meet again someday."
