I had to leave work on Friday, just felt super lousy. Was freezing the whole way home, had the heater on high. When I got home I washed my face and went to bed. Dan had to pile another couple of blankets on me. I had a splitting headaches that lasted for 12 hours, and I have a head cold and chest congestion. Dan went to Walmart and picked up some Mucinex. That stuff really helps. The brand name stuff, not the Walmart brand. Tried the Walmart brand and it didn't do anything. We know several people who have this same thing. How about you guys? To make matters worse, its currently minus 16 out. I'm not going to work tomorrow. In fact, I am off to bed. Good night.
Geez Patty, this sounds super yucky. Hope you're feeling better soon. Haven't gotten any creepin' crud but some of my friends have gotten this awful pukey thing that's just no fun at all. So far, avoiding all. Let's keep it that way. :xfinger:
Hubby has been sick with something that sounds just exactly like what you have. I got him the Mucinex and Mucinex Nose Spray. That stuff does work wonders! :pray: :pray:I hope you will start feeling better very soon :comfort: :comfort:
I am battling a sinus infection. Got sick las Sunday (NOT yeaterday, the week before that). Was home sick all last week. Finally went to the Doctor Thursday and began antibiotocs. I am a bit better now, but still pretty sick.
Kevin caught a cold last Monday, and he tried the Mucinex, too. It didn't work so well for him, but he is a big mucus producer and maybe there are some battles even Mucinex can't win.
On the up side, there are three lucky little weenie dogs who went over a week without being crated while we were home sick.
Oh Patty - bummer..... sounds awful....knock on wood - I am doing ok, except for sinus stuff..... Take care of YOU !
Ah, yes - we are calling it the Christmas Cold. Hubby got it right after Christmas. Daughter caught it right after the first of the year. I was feeling rather smug, because I thought I must have a superior immune system (plus I got a flu shot, which the others declined). It hit me Friday also (with a vengence). I've been living on Nyquil since Friday - feel a bit better today. Might actually try to do something. Hang in there Patty, this too will pass.

Yep! Drew's got it! He was traveling for work last week and got super sick! Congestion, coughing, fever...the whole bit. I have my fingers crossed that I don't get it. :xfinger:

Oh, yeah, it's here too!!! My oldest got it during the break (but not real bad), I also had 2 co-workers that were sick over the break... Needless to say, I didn't have a chance... I started getting it last Sunday, was home from work Mon. and Tues., and I am still sick... I think strep?? Now my 3 younger kids also have it... I don't like meds or dr.s, I am giving my kids meds, but I believe it is time for that awful trip to the dr. :confused: This is a baddie, that's for sure!!! My throat actually felt like it was closing on me throughout the day today, had a hard time breathing... UGH!!!! I hope everyone here is feeling well soon... EmmyLou sends puppy kisses... :bandaid:
I have had it bad since New Years!!! Can't seem to get rid of it either. Mainly head and chest. I think I am finally on the tail end of it though. I hope no one else gets it!! And anyone that does have it, get better soon!!
