Title: Zoe and Winston's Christmas
Post by: cheryl186 on December 29, 2007, 08:37:17 PM
Our two are like so many other's puppers on this board.  They love to unwrap and tear the wrapping to shreds!  They all got new huge Bobo's for Christmas and as of right now, they are about 1/2 de-stuffed.  Sheba and Zoe love theirs but Winston (my shy boy) was afraid of one of the noises the squeaker made (the one that sounds like the moo of a cow).  I couldn't believe it :doah:  So we "asked..haha" Zoe to de-stuff it for him and she graciously obliged.....now he loves it too.  Also wanted to show you all a picture of my Christmas Card Tree with all my cards on it from this year.

ps:  Daisy, this is Oreo the bunny wabbit.     You are beauuuutiful!  Here is my picture.  It is so nice to have another bunny on this board.

Oliver says he will come and play with oreo. Love the tree and the quilt behind it. Looks as if you have a wooosy like Oliver in your house, Ollie gets easily spooked.

Wow, Oreo has a really cool hutch!!  Is it homemade or can Auntie Karen buy one for me?

Wonderful photos Cheryl! Your kids are just adorable. VEry cool tree!!!  :headbang: And adorable bunny. Funny how many doxie people have bunnies! I had 2 house bunnies for many years with my last doxie, Jessie and my Dane, Fred. They loved the bunnies and so does Hallie although she doesn't have one of her own. Looks like you all had a great Christmas!

Miss Daisy, Oreo here....my momma and daddy bought my hutch at PetSmart.  I love it.  Since this picture, daddy built a nesting box on the back and has filled it with nice warm bedding and hay.  I love to go in there and snuggle.  During the winter I am in the basement in another nice warm hutch.  I will ask my momma to take another picture of me so you can see the white around my neck.  That is why they call me Oreo.

Talk to you soon,

Your bunny friend, Oreo

Thank you all for your wonderful comments.  Actually the tree looked really pretty in person and the cats didn't bother it one bit which kind of surprised me.  But I have some really nice ornaments....so...maybe next year I might put a mixture of ornaments and cards on it?  I think I will try that.

My two doxies found Oreo in our yard two years ago when he was only a very small baby.  We saved him from them.  The poor dear has a "battle scar" tear in one of his ears from the ordeal :comfort:  We tried to find the owner but couldn't, so our free little bunny cost $99 for one hutch on wheels and $129 for the one in the picture.  We have since enclosed the outdoor hutch in a 5'x10' fence enclosure and in the summer Oreo gets to go in and out of his hutch himself in his enclosure and he just loves it.  I never actually thought about having a bunny but you know, since we have him, I just love him to pieces!  Doxie lovers make the best animal lovers ever :headbang:

Wow, Good for you Cheryl!!! That is one lucky bunny. It really upsets me to see bunnies that live their whole lives in a cage and never get out to jump around in the grass and lay in the sun. They were born to run and jump and the majority of them have to suffer in a little hutch all their lives. I would let my two bunnies run loose in my back yard but they did dig a whole underground tunnel system! Until then I didn't know bunnies did that... :thinik:

Well you have just confirmed what my hubby has told me.  He told me that I have to watch Oreo when he is out of his hutch in the enclosure because he will dig underneath it.  I haven't seen him try to do that yet so I was thinking hubby was kinda  :idiot:...haha.  Hubby says thank you for the support :thumb:

Miss Daisy is very content living in my kitchen.  She gabs the newspaper from the breakfast table, and yesterday she got into my box of unread catalogues and shredded www.cataloguefavorites.com!  I guess it's not her favorite - LOL! :dontknow:

Right now she's eating the classified pages.  It gives a whole new meaning to recycling!!
