Dear Ones,
We'd like to thank all those who sent us Christmas cards - we especially loved Zack & Zena's; Clifford's; the Shumard gang's; Patty's letter; Sargey, Duggie, and Looie-Angel's; Penny's; the Sanders gang's; Lulu & Vivie's; Loki & Zuzu's; Zoe and Winston's; the Mellon gang; Princess Emmy; Hunny; and if I forgot anyone, I apologize! We are temporarily living elsewhere, but were checking our mail daily until the mailbox central for 15 homes, was broken into last Monday night or Tuesday morning. We don't think any mail went missing, though, and we got a whole bunch of mail today. I am sorry I did not get any out, but due to circumstances beyond my control, I couldn't find the ones I had saved for all my wiener writings family. You are the best, and I can never explain how much it meant to get your cards and letter, because they usually arrived just when I was feeling particularly miserable. Even though many brought tears, these happy tears are the best ones to shed, considering how many of the other kind I've shed for the last two months. Brekke loves sniffing the envelopes, and most brought tail wags, but she really licked the ones from Patty, Merion, and Mike - familar smells to her, considering she has met Mike, her sisters Gretl- and Siglen-Angels met Patty, and our last treat box was from Merion!
May the coming 2008 be a happier, brighter year for all hoomans, and a tail-waggin', treat-filled year for our dear dachsies! Happy New Year, one and all!

Maybe next year Sadie and I can get in on the fun too??? I used to be in a bassett group and we sent cards out. I miss it. And love hearing all the stories of people getting cards. Hopefully next year we can join in.

Julia...the cards may stop coming with the end of the holiday season but we are still all here for you. Hugs and many many loving dachsie rays are heading your way!!!!!
I loved getting the cards - and a special treat - I got one yesterday - the day after Christmas - WOO HOO !!!! I will participate next year....and it may take me that long to get a cute picture of the kids - HA !!!!!
