Title: Need to ask for some good thoughts.....
Post by: Barb on December 26, 2007, 09:09:13 AM
I hope everyone had a good holiday and is looking forward to the New Year.  I am !!!  Once again, we are a 1 human, 2 doglets household.  Things have not been good between Jimmy and I - we just grew apart and wanted different things.  I am looking forward to the new year and moving ahead.  Puppers can feel stress, even if you feel like you are doing a good job of hiding it.  We will be fine and I think they will do much better as time goes on.  They had a fun day yesterday, but were exhausted noodles when everyone left !!!! It is rainy here today, and I am sure they are snuggled in snoozing the day away while I am at work !!!

Just asking for a few good thoughts our way as we move into the new year !  I have 2 extra bedrooms that I am sorting through and cleaning out, then painting and once again will have a guest room - Woo Hoo !!!  So if anyone is down Texas way - would love to have you stop in !

Mega good thoughts coming your way!  I was in your shoes 2 years ago (gosh-has it been that long?!?!) and can certainly empathize.  And yes - the puppers do pick on the tension and anxiety.  Mine are much better off now and we are a finally happy household!

Just stopped in to post news about Maria and saw this. I'm so sorry you're going through this Barb. I know that you're going to come out the other end a stronger woman for it. There is no way you'll come out any better though, because you're already the BEST!

Hugs!!

Wow!  Best wishes for another strong woman!  I know that Brekke is much more relaxed now, and she definitely seems more her little lovable self than she was for most of the summer.  She is really snuggling hard these days, enjoying Mommy-time.

You will make it though, if you need a top up of encouragement let us all know. It happened to me a long time back and it made me a stronger person, so my poor Nick ( met about 7 yrs later) got all my stress over trusting again.

Barb- I was wondering if you've read the book Eat Pray Love by Liz Gilbert?  A friend of mine recommended it just after my ex and I split up and it was a complete life saver!  It totally turned me around and helped me get my head on straight!  If you haven't read it, I highly recommend it!

I'm sorry about you and Jimmy, Barb. It sounds like it's the best for both of you, though.

Oh geez, Barb, I am so sorry to hear this, but sometimes (a LOT of the time) its for the best.  I don't know Jimmy but I have a good feeling about how you are.  You are so nice and sweet and giving.  I hope with the support of your friends (especially here) and the comfort from Rudy and Brandy, that you will be OK.  The house is yours, right?

You really should call my sister Barb sometime, when you're feeling up to it.  Her daughter, Christina, just got transferred to Manhatten for work.  Really exciting, but I think my sister might be feeling lost without her kid close by, even though Christina has been living on her own for a couple of years now, those two were always somewhat joined at the hip.  Christina just left yesterday for New York.  Barb still works for the Container Store, but I think she is in a different location now.

Hang in there, my friend.  These things are always hard to go through, right or wrong............been there.  But we come out stronger at the other end.  If there is anything I can do, please just ask.
