From Willy and Alex: Our papa has been down with ciatic nerve problems and can't do a darned thing. So mom has to do everything......feed horses, cook, clean, etc., etc. Even toenails. Papa usually holds us baby style while mom works the Dremel on our toenails, but now papa can't hold us that long. SO......mom put a big fluffy pillow on the couch, put us on our backs and said STAY! We did, and she filed our nails. She is determined to work on our nails everyday of her twelve day vacation. Two days down, ten more to go! We just bet she will get our nails down to where they should be, she is one determined mama.
Wow! You guys are great! Penny would never sit that still! We tried the dremel when she was a baby and it scared her to death.
I had to start out slow, with the Dremel on low speed, and just touched a couple of nails with it for a second, then lots of praise and we were done. They got used to it in about three days, and I was able to use the high speed. Now it lulls them to sleep. I am very lucky that they can handle it, because I hate using the clippers, I am so afraid that I will cut the quick.
You are very lucky they will let you use the Dremel. My two are scared of it....
Too bad your Papa is hurting...we hope he gets better....
