JACKPOT!!!! :apls: :meme: :hello2: My husband came home at lunch to pick me up and the wonderful road department had plowed our road really well, BUT, the dummies blocked off the driveway!! :2funny: So...I walked to the end of the driveway (in the freezing cold I might add) and we went to town. Since I knew I wouldn't be able to get back till after work I went to my sister's house for an hour. Yes...I broke in...but, in my defense I have a key!
Anyway...work went by really fast because I had three first workouts and I only worked two hours! :crazyeyes: On our way home my husband and I were discussing (taking bets) on whether or not we would make it into the driveway. Well, we made it in all right. :2funny: And we definately aren't going ANYWHERE until some snow melts. Our driveway is long and you have to drive a ways to get to our house and park in the carport. Between the entrance of the driveway and our house, we got buried in the snow. :grin: I won $20!!!
So...my husband most likely won't make it to work in the morning, and I don't work until 5 pm, so we basically get the day off. The roads are more slick now that they plowed than they were before.
Sounds like a good enough excuse right?! Besides if they want to verify my story all they have to do is drive out and look for the red car buried in a snowdrift. :2funny:

I do have to go in at 5 tonight, but I have the rest of the day off. Porky and I are going to cuddle all morning. :apls: My husband unfortunately got the car out, so he went to work. Our helpful neighbor pulled the car out. So...at lunch I have to be ready and as soon as I hear the car, I have to start walking to the end of our drive. (1/4 mile) :doah: Then my hubby is going to go back to his work and I'm going to hang out at my sister's all afternoon again. Unless I decide to stay home sick.
I'm debating whether or not to stay home. I worked with a co-worker last night who was complaining about not feeling well the entire time. And she was complaining to me about the bad roads. (she lives two blocks from work.) :2funny: So...if she takes today off too, there won't be anyone to cover our appointments tonight. But, I do have a mild fever, HUGE headache, and a HORRIBLE ear ache. She has a sinus infection but has been on medicine for two weeks for it now. So...I'm trying to decide if it would be fair for me to take tonight off as well or if I should let her stay home. I really want to stay home and rest, but I know I could tough it out if I had to. My main concern is I work with a lot of elderly clients at my fitness training job and I would hate to make one of them ill. Since I still have a fever, I'm most likely contagious right? :dontknow:
If all you have is a sinus infection and an ear ache then I am pretty sure your not contagious. Can you find out if your co-worker is going to be taking off? That way you can decide if you want to take it off. If I were you I would stay home and rest. But then again the house is what is making you sick. So it is a catch 22 there. Either way at least you have Porkey to keep you company till lunch time!! Snuggling with him must make you feel better!! Doxie love is the best medicine I say!!
I honestly think I'm going to go ahead and go to work. Its only for three hours, and I can rest at my sister's house this afternoon. I wasn't thinking I was contagious but, wasn't sure if I was right. I think being at my sister's all afternoon would be better than me being in our house all day. Thanks for the advice Mel. :thumb: I agree the more snuggles I get, the better I'll feel.
