Here are a couple of pics of the tree in my front yard. I'm hoping it's salvageable. We're lucky - it's not very close to the house so no damage was done to the house. Luckily there were no cars in the driveway when it fell!

That is lucky no houses or cars were damaged!! It is hard to tell if the tree can be saved. Come this spring you may not get buds on it so you won't be able to tell by that. Hopefully it can be saved. Looks like a real young one. I think we would have had more tree damage too if we didn't just trim all of the trees in the yard. I just had medium to small branches down.
Oh Lucy looks very cute!! It looks like she is looking at you and wondering why the fire isn't lit!!!
Actually, I hate to say it Jenny but to me it looks like your treee may not be able to be saved. It looks like the break is halfway through the trunk....gee that is such a shame!! What type of tree is that? Thank goodness there was no other damage. Lucy, you are the cutest Elf I have ever seen!!

Well my house is for sell right now so if we lose the tree - no harm done. It would be nice to have 1 tree in my yard! I don't have any in my back yard! I have no idea what kind of tree it is. I've wondered that for the 5+ years I've lived there!
The fire is off because apparently, Lucy doesn't like fire. This was the only way I could get her to pose by the fire place!
