Hello again board members.
Some of you might remember me. I have a handsome little boy...Sergeant Brown, and a beautiful little girl, Libby (Gem Sweet Liberty).
My wife Julie and I also rescued Tiffany and Koby over a year ago.
Just wanted to give you updates.
With me being in the US Air Force, I was sent over to Korea for a year and really missing my wife, girls and fur babies. Sgt and Libby are holding the fort down...
Koby and Tiffany were adopted by Julie's parents and we get to see them all the time. When Tiffs and Koby's hu-mommy/daddy go out of town, they get to spend the night over with us. And they really like coming over to play with Sgt and Lil Libby...but Koby is still not liking Toby the cat. Best of all, Koby and Tiff get to sleep in the big bed too!
It's amazing how attached we get to our pets. Being here in Korea without my family is hard at times. When I call back to talk to the wife and girls, I even ask how my puppers are doing. But the good thing is that they are used to me being away, and stand watch over their family.
We do have one office here on the base that has a "mascot" and is a little mini doxie pup. Funny thing is that I was sitting at a conference table and felt something tugging at my boot laces. I look down and see a little smooth black and tan pupper playing with my shoe laces. I wanted to just put him in my jacket and take him home with me. Made me homesick!
Here's a photo that I took of my buddy Sgt a few days before I left. It seemed that he knew that I was going somewhere and was always by my side. This picture is him on top of the sofa, draped around my arms.
Eric hope you are home soonwith the gang, keep looking in.

I was just thinking of all of you recently and wondered if you may have moved somewhere. I had actually planned to post on here and ask Terri if she had heard from Julie lately since you live fairly close to her. I'm so glad to know that everyone is doing well and that Koby and Tiffany are still happy with their parents. I don't think anyone on here will ever forget that rescue story. Your family were truly angels for those two.
I hope the time you are in Korea goes by quickly and you are home soon. Please keep in touch with us on here as often as you can. You'll feel like you have lots of doxie friends keeping you company, at least through cyber-space. How much longer do you have there?
Can't wait to hear more about everyone.
Teresa
It is so wonderful to hear from you Eric! Thanks for updating us! We can forget the story of Tiff and Koby. Drew and I hope your time in Korea speeds by and that you will be home with your family in no time. I can't imagine how hard it is to be away. Please check in when you can!
Hey, great to hear from you!!! Its good to hear that your family is doing well. I hope you get to come home soon.
Patty (Willy and Alex)
So good to hear from you Eric! I was thinking of you guys the other day too and wondering how things are with Koby and Tiff. I agree, I don't think we will ever forget that rescue story I will never get over that gf. I hope they didn't get another dog. This pic of you and Sgt is priceless. Must be so hard to be away from your family. I hope you will get to go home soon. Stay safe over there and keep checking in with us!
Great to hear from you !!!! I had wondered if the family went with you...... Tell Julie to check in !!! Glad all is going well with the puppers - when are you coming home?
Great to hear from you! I'll never forget what you did for Tiff and Koby. AWESOME! Do have Julie check in and update us on the whole family! :apls:
Glad to meet you, Eric. Too bad about that little skirmish last Saturday. What was that score again? Oh, right, I remember - ARMY:3, NAVY:38! :headbang:
I'd sign off with "GO NAVY - BEAT ARMY" but, well, been there, done that! :2funny:

I am here for another 7 months, but coming home for a vacation in Jan. Julie and I are cooking up a plan to see how the puppers will react when I come home.
When we get home from the airport, Julie is going to let the puppers outside, I am then going to come in and sit in my favorite recliner and then let the dogs back in. See if they will notice that I am back. Knowing Sgt, he will go outside, then run back into the bedroom and get back under the covers since I will be coming home during his bed time.
Doxherding Karen...I am glad that the Navy beat the Army. Air Force beat the Army too.....yep, bleed blue..in the USAF, but watch the Bucs when I get to see them over here.
I'll tell Julie to get on here with Sgt and Libby and post up some stuff.
Ha, that is a great plan! Be sure to let us know what the dogs do! I'd love to be a fly on the wall...
I am thinking that I am going to have to have an immediate change of clothes and some paper towels around as Sgt. like to get a little excited. I just hope Julie doesn't do the same. I miss them so much. It is so hard being away from my family, and even worse during the holidays. Doesn't even feel like Christmas. Just one of the things that us military around the world have to deal with. But I can tell you from experience, it really sucks!
It's good to see you back on the board again! I, too, had been wondering how you were all doing! Looking forward to hearing more on Sargeant and Libby! Dave is retired Air Force.......and Eric, thank you to you and all the troops for serving our country! Dee, Dave, and Sarge
Looie-Angel is watching over you from the Bridge!

Let us know how it goes with the puppers! That sounds like a great plan. I bet they are going to be so crazy with excitement!
Yes! Tell Julie to login! We miss you guys! Would love to see some pics of the kids.
Hi Eric! Good to see you back on the board. Bless you for serving our country! I know exactly how you feel about serving overseas during the holidays. Three years ago, DH was in Iraq for the holidays. What a tough time that was! That's nice that you get to come home for a while in January. Julie and the furkids will be so happy to see you! Stay safe.
