In addition to sniffing poo on their own time.  How cool is this?

That really is cool. It's amazing what dogs can smell that we can't. Sometimes a very good thing !LOL! One of the exercises we do in ultilty is we have 12 articles, 6 are leather and 6 are metal. The judge hands you one which you hold and rub in your hands. They put the other 11 down with tongs without touching them in a pile (not touching) behind you then they take the one you touched and set it somewhere in the middle without the dog seeing. Then you send your dog, who runs out to the pile, sniffs each one and then picks up and retrieves the one that smells like you. They do that with each the leather and the metal. Jessie did this without fail for the many shows she was in. I am just starting to teach it to Hallie although will probably not show her in it as there are jumps involved. But it is pretty amazing.
