I fell on my cement Patio about 6 months ago landed on my well padded rear finely got up and had Tail Bone pain for awhile seemed to go away but now back. Asked the doctor about it she said nothing can be done for Tail Bone pain just have to deal with it.Just seems odd that it went away and now is back not doing anything different. Just thought I would throw it out to everyone and see if anyone else has dealt with this problem.
Have allot of back problems anyway.

maybe you chipped it, my Mom did that and once in a while it HURTS. I am sure it did not help existing problems.
I fell when I was fourteen and chipped part of my tail bone. It hurt for the longest time and went away. it does cme back off and on, like when it gets really cold or when I stand for a really long time. So.. you may have broken or chipped it. Sorry to say but it will probably always hurt once in awhile. I could be wrong though.
If you believe in chiropractic, give it a try. When you crash your body like that, it knocks everything cockeyed. Comes back to haunt you when you least expect it. May take more than one adjustment. I fell off a bicycle when I was 13, cracked the coccyx (tail bone). Didn't deal w/ it till I was an adult. Other problems, but that isn't one of them! I would be suspicious of a Dr. who says there isn't anything to be done for "tail bone pain". Try another Dr. Have they done an Exray? My Dr. suggested chiropractic. Good luck.
Suzie no way would I go to a chiropractor I have too many other back problems herniated disk,2 bulging disks, sever spinal stenosis, degenerative disk disease,also a Total Knee, other knee not good either,a fracture in my hip that I do not know when it happened the hip pops all the time,achilles tendinitis off & on.Would not want to mess up more in my back they wanted to do surgery on my back told them no too chicken for back surgery.
Odd thing is had my Total Knee 10 days after the Total Knee is when my disk herniated so not like I was doing allot of lifting or anything that would make a disk herniate they did do a spinal anathesisa for my total knee??? Was a Nurses Aide for 31 years which may have messed up my back & knees???
