Here is Pretzel Salad:
1 1/2 cups crushed pretzels
1 cube melted butter or margarine
1/2 cup sugar
Mix together, press into 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 325 degrees for six minutes. Cool
Mix together with mixer:
1/2 cup sugar
1 8 oz Philadelphia cream cheese
1 8 oz container Cool Whip
Spread on pretzel mixture.
Dissolve 2 three-ounce (or one large) package of strawberry jello in 1 1/2 cups hot water.
Add 2 10 ounce thawed out packages of frozen strawberries.
Pour on top of Cool Whip mixture.
Refrigerate until set.
Cut into squares once set and serve.
I have a friend who makes this. She has changed her recipe so that the layer of pretzels goes on top instead of the bottom. She said it keeps them crunchy that way. I like it either way. Great recipe!
