1 Giant Pot
Stew Meat beef
Potatoes peeled & cut into big pieces
Cabbage cut up
2 Large cans of whole peeled tomatoes
2cans corn
2cans green beans
2 cans Lima beans
2 cans carrots
any other vegetable you like
celery seed
chopped up a little onion
salt & pepper to taste
bag of frozen peas you can add the peas later in the day
Set on stove let it come to a boil then put it on simmer let it cook all day.
It is good with Homemade bread or rolls.
It will last several days if their is just two people does not freeze well because of the potatoes.When it sits overnight in the refrigerator it is twice as good the next day of course you re-heat it up. Really good when it is cold outside.
I think my Grandmother got this recipe from her mother-in -law they had a maid the did all of the cooking so its at least 100 years old now.
