same response from me as last time (in nice, loud voice:) "Katie do not call me a B" and then she sez: "Why not?" "It's not appropriate." "Who made you the appropriate police?" (in even louder voice, and we had guests in the next room) "K, I don't call YOU a B."
Note that this outburst was precipitated by my statement: "If ya'll don't stop singing that (very annoying song) I'm not gonna help you with "ten minute project".
So THIS time I inform supervisor that if this happens again I would like him to speak with her. Wrote some brief documantation about both times. (I should also compile a list of the words and phrases she uses on adaily basis, but I can't bring myself to actually WRITE the words down, they are so horrible.)
I think I handled it well.
Ah, working with alcoholics is SUCH fun.
Thanks for lettin' me vent.
Ah, sweet revenge. So Kate comes back from the bank and is going on and on about these huge birds in one of our customer's yard. I mean, the way she's describing these things (which I realize right away are WILD TURKEYS) like they are 4 feet tall and have 2 foot long legs I say. "Hmmm, is she raising Emus? 'cause those are really big, like 40 lbs. There is another lady who raises them up where I live." Doesn't she CALL the customer and ASK her if she has EMUS??????????? :2funny:
Of course, the lady laughs and tells her they are TURKEYS.
Good one. Glad you were able to get back at her in that way. Wonder if she figured it out that is what you were doing? What a pain to have to work around someone like that. Hang in there. Vent any time you like.
Mel
Yes, you did get back at her....haha...that was great. Vent, vent, vent anytime. I think you definitely are handling the situation very well. Documentation is very helpful. I would think that others working there would complainn about her language also. Your boss should take some form of action.
