Daylight Savings. I hate it. --Les
Ugh! I hate it too!
Penny and Tucker were both up around 4 am this morning :verdict: :cussing:
I'm all for the extra hour of sleep, but it really throws everyone off for a few days. Porky woke up a lot earlier than usual today as well. He was starving two hours earlier than he usually eats. I went ahead and fed him a little bit to tide him over. I could literally hear his little tumm rumbling. I have to go to work at 5 am tomorrow, so that's going to be fun since I will probably not be able to get to sleep until after midnight for the next few days.
We wus wonderin' de same thing.....it was time for our breakfast and our morning walkie and mudder said sumtin' about sleepin' in.... WHAT ????? Don't tink so !!! We made her get up and den she was watchin her Jag tape at 6:00 in de morning !!! Of course we snuggled in a blankie on her lap !!!!
Rudy and Brandy
(LOL - they ARE on their own time clock aren't they?????) Oh well, I was up and had gone to Target and Walmart and was waiting for Petsmart to open at 9:00 - home by 9:30!!!!)
We all hate daylight savings time too.....it means coming home from work in the dark....yuck phooey :verdict:
Ugh, us too Loki! Although it came at a good time since Hallie and I had to get up early today and needed that extra hour of sleep. But am not looking forward to the days getting dark earlier. I too don't understand why they can't just leave it at daylight savings time.
Loki we should all form a picket line and protest! :cussing:
For those of you on the west coast, how early does it get dark now? On the east coast it is about 6 or so right now, unless it is raining. When I left work today at 5:15, I turned my lights on just because it was at that time when it was just dusky enough to start needing them.
It is well into dusk at 5:00 here in SLO, CA and I WALK home. It takes about 20 minutes to walk, so I don't dilly dally, that's for sure.
Yes, at 4:00 the sun is pretty low in the sky, and I like to get my errands run asap, because I am not crazy about driving at night by myself - especially at this particular time.
Ozzy hasn't noticed any change, but around our house, things are so crazy that we have no set routine! I don't like it because it means I have to practice in the church, all alone, when it is dark outside. I know it's a church, but there are some strange sounds coming from the building, especially at night! I have stopped with my hands in mid-air, hair on the back of my neck rising, wondering, "What was THAT noise?" Then, I have to turn off the organ, nervously shut out the lights, and leave the building because I'm unable to practice with my nerves so rattled!! So, I'll probably start doing what I did last year - going to the church right after work, or waiting until another committee is meeting, so I'm not alone in the church building.

By 5:30pm its almost dark. And definitely still dark when I leave the house in the morning at 5am.
Skeeter, Boone and Fella are with you guys. The stomach clock is never wrong!
The sun being low at 4:00 would be hard to deal with. I'm okay with it like it is right now. Of course, it will still get dark earlier, and there will be a few rainy days when it will be getting pretty close to dark when I get home around 5:15, but those aren't until mid-December.
