I don't know about eating them, but I know that they are a real nuisance. The ones the birds and squirrels eat out are just the right size to fit on a dachsies foot pads. Clifford doesn't think they are good for tap dancing...
I'm not sure that they will be able to digest them... :dontknow:
I was told that acorns are toxic to dogs but I can't remember who told me that.

I am just now reading this - hope you have resolved the eating problem.
Rudy and Brandy agree with the size that acorns are - and mom too !!! The house next door to us - that we have to walk in front of no matter which way we walk every day - has TONS of acorns and they are scatted all over the sidewalk and the yard by the sidewalk. I don't think they have picked any up in the last couple years and I am surprised there aren't trees sprouting all over - LOL !!!! I try to kick them aside so there is a clear path - but it is like fighting a losing battle - so we usually cut into the street.
Mine don't seem interested at all in eating them though - so I am glad for that. Are Buddy and Patches still eating them? Do they actually eat or just play with them? Guess mom should have a daily picking up acorn party - HA !!!!
Patches I think still steals one once in awhile or she is eating her brothers poo I try to keep it all picked up but sometimes hard to find in the leaves.I try to pick the acorns up but too many of course the squirrels are hot & heavy in the tree drives Patches crazy. They had a interesting conversation this evening Patches says you cheat come down now out of that tree.Squirrels wag their tails at her say no we will stay up here and cuss at you.
