A friend of mine from church is going to watch Ozzy tomorrow, while we go to Parent's Weekend at college. We will be gone for several hours and I didn't want to leave Ozzy along for that long, nor did I want to board him for one day. I'm a little nervous about leaving him with someone he doesn't know all that well, but I have planned things out so I have a few minutes before I have to leave him. I'm thinking of taking his bed, water bowl, treats, leash, a blanket he loves to lay on, our vet's phone number and my cell phone number. No sense in taking food, because he probably won't eat. A couple of toys. Anything else I should take?
Sounds to me like you have it all covered Mindy. Sure he won't eat anything? Have a nice time on your visit to College and I hope Ozzy has a very good day at the sitter's.
What your taking sounds good! As long as he has something familiar with him he should be all right. Here's a suggestion;if you have a minute during the visit why not take a minute to call your friend to see how he's doing.
Things you have forgotten:
1. Name and phone number of pet acupuncturist who specializes in achondroplastic canines.
2. Phone number of emergency pet taxi.
3. Phone number of emergency veterinary hospital with response time of under five minutes.
4. Canine massage therapist.
5. Aroma therapy consultant.
6. Feng Shui Zen Master.
7. Hypnotist in case a post-hypnotic suggestion is needed to counteract potental issues of abandonment.
8. Arts and Crafts Director for afternoon play time coordination.
9. Lindsay Wagner's phone number for delivery of a dachshund-sized sleep number bed.

You gave Ozzy the cell phone number, right?
