I got to go with my sis in law to pick out her wedding dress today. It was an all day ordeal since we have to travel 3 hours to get to the place she wanted to go. It was a blast!!!
We found the most gorgeous dress!! As soon as she walked out in it her mom and I started blubbering like two idiots. We had to beg her to take it off so we could get supper and go home. :2funny: I guess that's a good sign though that she loves it.
My husband and his friend got a lot of the moving done this afternoon! :hello2: I came home opened the front door and was shocked! Our couch and loveseat were gone, our table and chairs were gone, and the floor was bare in the living room.
I really appreaciate all the hard work he did, but um....there are no chairs left in the house now. :2funny: " Um...Honey.....I'm home all day tomorrow where do you expect me to sit." His response??? "Oh, oops, I didn't think of that." :2funny: Men are too funny. I can't complain though, he helped us out a lot today and I got a day of fun while he worked his tail off.
 That sounds like something my hubby would do.... :2funny:....Do you have any lawn chairs left at the house??? But hey, I just thought of something.....no chairs....that means plenty of floor play time wif Porky...yeah.... :hello2: :hello2:....
ps: Hope your move is going well....sounds like it is....I know it is really hectic right now but will be worth it very soon :apls: :apls:....again, Congrats on the move and the new house and yard for Porky :headbang:
Cheryl,
I'm glad i'm not the only one with a hubby who doesn't exactly think these kinds of things through. And to answer your question, No....we have not a single chair left in the house. He even took our bench we had sittig outside. :2funny: Its not going to be too bad. He did have the sense to make a cool thing for Porky to play in so I can get my work done faster. :apls: He got sme refrigerator boxes from work and brought them home. Until we actually need to use them he set up a course for Porky to run and play in. The boxes are making a tunnel thing in the living room and then my husband crawled through and randomly hid Porky's toys inside. So Porky is havign fun running around and around trying to find it all.
Also, the landlady refused to wait until Monday to do the showing. :cussing: She claims that once we give her our notice of moving out she has every right to show the place whenever she wants. Which is not exactly true. She does have the right to show it, but cannot enter our home until we give her permission. But, arguing with this woman is pointless. So...we are working our butts off trying to get out of here by tonight. We still have both bedrooms and bathrooms to pack up, the kitchen to pack up and the basement. So...the big things we have left to move our a queen size bed, a bookshelf, an entertainment center, a tv, a washer and dryer, and a dishwasher. My husband and his friend are going to load up everything after they get off work and make a trip out to the farm. While they are busy unloading, I'm going to be busy packing and cleaning here. Then they will take a second load out there. ( Hopefully our last load)
I at least want all our valuables out of here for that showing tomorrow. And I want it to look clean because she is playing hard ball with everything and we NEED our deposit back. So...if she sees any little thing she'd probably refuse to give it back to us. We haven't broken anything or stained anything so I'm hoping we will get it back.
From the sound of how nasty she is....I wouldn't put it past her to try and fight you on giving your deposit back....it must be horrible to be so grumpy and miserable....anyway...you guys hang in there...and I pray you get your deposit back.
I agree with you Cheryl. It was actually kind of sad yesterday. She was nice to me and I had no idea how to respond. I felt awful for feeling that way, but this woman is usually only nice when she's manipulating you are has some hidden agenda.
I'm pretty sure she will give our deposit back unless she was misleading me yesterday. We'll see.
