Title: Anybody available to Porky sit???
Post by: doxielady5569128 on October 23, 2007, 09:24:44 AM
Well my life just got even more complicated today.    Go figure...   Anyway, our landlady is going out of twon this weekend.  In order to get our deposit back by he time we move in the other place, we have to be completely out by Friday morning.  Not possible.   :doah:  So....we are going to have as much packed up by then as humanly possible so when she comes Friday morning she can just do the inspection then.  She wants to show it to someone that morning.   So...not only do we have to be almost all packed up by Friday, it has to be spotless!!

Today I have until 4 to pack, but not very many boxes.   Tomorrow I'm going to be out of town dealing with some family issues.  Thursday I am going to pack and clean ALL day and possibly all night.   Friday, I have to have everything spotless by 9 am!   We want her to do the showing, because if she doesn't rent this place out right after we leave, we are responsible for $20 a day until it is filled.   That could add up quickly.   And...to top it all off, i have to work Friday morning at 5 am until an hour after the showing.

I am NOT leaving Porky home when they show our house to strangers.  So...here's my dilemma my mother in law is out of town on Friday. My mother and father are out of town on Friday, and my sister can't have pets in her apartment and would not want to be here when the strangers come either.   Plus, she's going to be at work.     I saw an ad in the paper for a doggy daycare, but I'm really scared to take hime there since i do not know the people that run it.   So...my only option is to BEG one of my co-workers to switch days with me and I will work Saturday morning for her.

Any other ideas what I can do with my little guy for an hour, while I'm at work?   I am going to check and see if he could go to his friend Lacey's house.    :xfinger:  I really hope they are at least home by then.  Well, I better get to packing.   I'm not sure how long after we move it will take for us to get internet out there, so if you don't hear from us in a while, don't worry.

If Porky gets along at your vets maybe you could bord him  their for the day since everyone knows him there????its not like you are going to leave him there a week or so just one day would not be bad.

Plus you know for sure he would be safe.

That's a good idea.  I wasn't able to get friday off but we are trying to talk our landlord into waiting until Monday or Friday evening to do the showing.  :xfinger:

Oh my goodness...how busy you are going to be!!  Porky would be fine at the vet's for a couple hours if you can't find any one else to watch him.  I wish I could come out there and help you...you must be going crazy  but it is an exciting crazy...and a much much better situation in the long run.  We hope you can get internet access soon....take care!!!  Cheryl
