Hey, I hope you all could spare some extwa rays for my unka Spike, eben dough he's a (GASP) fewine! He's weally sick! He wasn't eatin' for wike two weeks. So...my hugwandma took him to da vet. Da vet did some sugery after dey found somefing wong wif his bewwy. (Not sure what) :dontknow: And den dey sent him home da next day.
We were vewy happy cause he started eating again da first day he was home. (friday). Now he hasn't eaten anyfing since Fwiday morning! Dis is a cat dat likes to eat two times a day at 5. We are pwetty worried about him and da vet wants ta gib him a feeding tube. If dis is gonna be a permament fing, gwanpa and gwanma hab to send him to da bwidge so he won't suffer no more.
We are gonna be so sad if he doesn't get feewing bedda and has to go to da bwidge. I really lub my westlin matches wif Spike Lee. I'm gonna miss him soo much. Gwandma's house jus won't be da same.
So...pwease, if you hab any extwa rays send dem immediatewy to my unka Spike. :ambulance: :pray:

I haven't gotten an update on him yet. My mother-in-law is VERY upset about it, so I really don't want to bring it up and make her more upset. I'm waiting for her to bring it up. I see her on Wednesday, so...hopefully I'll hear something soon. Thanks for your rays!!! Please keep them coming until further notice!
Feeding tubes are not so bad at least the permannet ones I know of a lady in California that tube fed her Labrador for over ten years he had Megaesopagus.Rays from Oklahoma Patches & Buddy

I agree papbouv. They are more concerned about his suffering. Spike just isn't happy anymore and the feeding tube may not even work to keep him nourished enough. The damage to his digestive system may be too bad for even that to help. So...its kind of a waiting game right now. We'll see if the tube helps and then they will make the decision as to what they think is best for Spike Lee.

Update on Spike Lee: They have not yet put in the feeding tube. They want to try one more kind of food to see if it appeals to him and he starts eating on his own again. :xfinger: Let's all send rays and hope that he eats this new food and doesn't have to go through more surgery to get a feeding tube put in.
