Dis is Porky pie, I'm twying to figure dis fing out. Momma came home fwom werk today to find me cwying and shaking in a cwate full of...well...poo. :doah: She went ober to da neighbors and asked why I was actin so scared. Da neighbors told her what happened, but dis is my side of da stowy.
I was sweeping peacfuwy in my cwate when all of a sudden, WHAM, WHAM on da door. Scared me real bad. I started barking (actually yipping in fear). Den da banging got louder!! Den...I heard da door start jiggling. Den I heard da door opening. Den I hear dis, "HEY WHERE ARE YOU!! WHY AREN"T YOU COMING TO THE DOOR?! I KNOW YOU"RE HOME, YOUR DOG IS HERE."
Well I get real scared when I hear yelling, so I started to shake inside my cwate. Den da person came closer to my cwate, and slowly lifted up da bwankie covering it. And I can't member what happened next cept dat poo came outta me and i didn't want it to! :doah:
Momma came home and found da mess. Da neighbors told her da landlady banged on our door for 5 minutes. Banging so loudly they could hear in their house next door!! Then they said she opened our front door and started yelling, (by the way...she popped the door open by banging on it so hard!) Den dey told her dat dey came ober to see what was going on and saw her lift up my bwankie and heard me scream.
Momma is weally mad, but i'm not weally sure why. :dontknow: I fink its cause I poo'd in my cwate?? Or maybe cuz I was cwying when she got home. Momma sez she finks da landlady is mad a cuz we told her we need our front door fixed because it doesn't lock properly and anyone could just break right in. And momma had told her dat if da door does not get fixed by da end of da week, we will be moving.
Da neighbors said if we move, dey will move cuz dey are mad at da landlady for what she did today. Momma wants to know...is she just overreactin or would you be mad if dat happened to you????
Really she did that? Does she thing that the laws don't apply to her? They have to give you at least 24 hours notice before coming into the house. And breaking the door down and terrorizing pore Porkey is wrong. Time to ralley the wagons!! I am so glad your neighbors witnessed it!! Pore Porkey Pie!! I am sure you got plenty of lovin last night!!

Apparently when you are a doctor's wife and have tons of money, the laws in this town actually don't apply to you. :BangHead: That is aggravating! She didn't exactly break down the door, the lock on it is broken so if you bang on it hard, it will pop the lock and open the door. Kinda scary, which is why we asked her to fix it. Needless to say, as soon as we find somewhere else, we will be breaking our lease and moving out. The consequences for breaking the lease would be losing our deposit. Small price to pay to get away from a well...not so nice...lanlady. I am still holding my little Porky trying to calm him down. He is really shaken up about this.
I am so sick of moving, but I would rather maintain my sanity and get out than stay and have to deal with her. We saw a cute house in the newspaper for rent so we might check that out today. It would be cheaper than here and we're pretty sure of who owns it. Also it has a BIG backyard with a fence so Porky could run and play outside when he wants to. He has been missing that quite a bit. So...we'll see what we think when we see the inside. :xfinger:
I'll be sending major thoughts your way that you can get that house!!! I can't believe that she thinks she can do that. Are you going to report her to the housing authority when you move? Or does she own that too? That would just make me sick. Pore Porkey. I am glad she did try to get him out of his cage!! Who knows what she would have done if the neighbors hadn't shown up. You guys sure have had your share the last month or so. You need a break. And moving at this time of year is never fun. Hopefully you can before the snow comes!! And all this I am sure isn't helping Porkey's tummy problems.
I would be calling the police and the Landlord/Tenant board IMMEDIATELY. I don't care who she is, no one has the right to enter your home (rented or not) without prior notice or permission.
Lets put it this way...there are 90 -100 townhouses in the area we live. She owns 90% of them. When she comes around people, including children, run into their homes, close all the curtains, ect....That should tell you something about this woman. Basically, she owns a majority of this town, so...reporting her wouldn't do much good. In her defense, I have to give her some credit here, the reason she lifted the blanket from Porky's crate was because she wanted to baby talk to him and try to calm him down. But, when a dog is already terrified, you can't clam them down if they don't know you well and are scared that you are invdaing their territory! She needs to learn some common sense. :rolleyes:

Owning 90% of the town does not entitle you to break into someone's home. There are laws, and I would STILL contact the landlord/tenant board. And if a lot of people have been terrorized by her, maybe its time someone put a stop to it. She has gotten way too big for her britches.

To be honest, this day just outright stinks!! We just got a call from a place my husband had applied to for a job. They said we have a few questions about the background check we pulled on you. They said, "we see that you have committed some pretty bad crimes down in Florida." What?!!! He has never been to Florida!! He quit his job last week after getting his wallet stolen while it was locked in the car under the seat. :doah: So...aparently someone is now using his identity to commit crimes. GREAT!!! This is just what I needed today. :BangHead: So...my hubby is down at the place he applied getting a copy of the background check, going to the police station, going to the state patrol office, ect...whatever he has to do to clear his name. We are losing money BIG time by not having him working, and if he can't get a job because of id theft, we are going to be literally up the creek without a paddle.
I am so angry and upset about everything today, i just want to crawl back in bed and hope this day gets over fast. I have to work again this evening, but am considering taking the day off. Although I know my boss needed to take her son to the doctor today, so there wouldn't be anybody to fill in for me. I don't want her sick son to suffer because I call in so, I'll probably go in tonight. I'll just paste on my smile, and good attitude and somehow make it through. I really don't think i can handle anything else today. :crazyeyes:
Man oh Man. You really need a break from things. A major streak of good luck needs to find you!! I will be sending rays your way. Hopefully though the place the your husband applied to will see how he is trying to clear his name. He is obviously worried about it and he is showing them the right course of action. After all, if he actually did the crimes would he even bother showing up to get a copy of the report, go to the police station and try to fix the problem? I am betting that he will get the job once he can prove that he was not the guy. Did he make a police report when his wallet was stolen? That should help too. I really wish there was something that I could do. Wish I could make my famous caserole and bring it to you. Major comfort food there. But it would be cold by the time I got there!! :nana:

Thanks for the offer of casserole. :grin: We are lucky in one factor today. My father-in-law was a policeman in our community for about 10 years, so all the loal law enforcement know my husband and his family. My husband is there right now tryin to sort everything out. The report listed some pretty maor crimes, such as dealing cocaine, child abuse, neglect of a child, all sorts of stuff that are just to awful to mention on here. My husband would NEVER do anything like that. Hopefully this will all get sorted out quickly. :xfinger:
Oh, that's just awful!!! I don't think I've ever had that bad a day! At least the police department knows you personally. Not too many people have that kind of help. You have certainly had your share of bad luck lately. Is Porky's tummy doing better? Did you ever find out what his problem was? I might have missed this, but how is your friend that was being stalked by her roommate doing? I would be FURIOUS at that landlady!!! Of all the nerve!!!! I would at least look into the landlord/tenant board, as Patty suggested.
Well we got all the identity mixup stuff taken care of. Turns out the background check program the people were using pulls up records by searching fr anything similar in the name, birthdate, and social security number. EX: if your social security number starts with 111, the program brings up everyone whose number begins with 111. kinda stupid. Long story short, a female in Florida with the same birthdate, similar social number, and similar name was the one that came up. If the guy had looked more closely he would have realized that it said 95 pound female on the bottom of the paper. :doah:
Porky's tummy is doing just fine. :xfinger: So far so good. Our friend that was living with us is now safe at her home. Her roommate moved out and she was given a protection order against her.
Also...after our crappy day, we get a letter from the car insurance company. The letter stated that due to my husband's tickets he got in 2004, we were no longer insurable! So...as of the 15th, we have no car insurance. So...we gotta find a new company I guess. No big loss there, their service stinks!!
I am feeling much better this evening, not quite so stressed. I beat the crap out of a punching bag, believe me it helped.
If you lived anywhere near I'm sure the landlady would not walk in your house if the Buddy was loose in your house she would walk right back out. I would not wait for the landlady to change the lock that does not work I would change it my self. Then when & if I moved I would give her the key she could have been snooping around your house before the neighbors caught her this time.Too bad you cannot file a police report on her she cannot just walk in to your house any time she wants too. Are you sure she did not take your husbands wallet she may have who knows she might be going though and taking stuff from any of her tentents you cannot trust anyone nowdays.

Yes I am sure she didn't take his wallet. His wallet was stolen by one of his co-workers. We just haven't found out which one yet. Also as far as the locks go, just changing them won't fix the problem of the door pooping open. I guess I didn't explain it quite right. The door frame and the door do not fit together properly, in other words, the door frame was cut wrong where the latch goes in. So..since the hole is larger than the latch, it does not close securely and the lock cannot hold. So...basically she would haveto take off the entire front door and make a new hole for the latch and lock to fit in. Does that make any sense??? i hope you can understand what i'm talking about. :rolleyes:
I know that she has not been in our home before without permission. And we called her to ask about it, she openly admitted that yes, she did come in. Her version goes like this..."I was banging on your door quite hard, repeatedly, thinking you were home and simply trying to ignore me. I banged again and the door popped open. I heard Porky crying and sounding very scared, so I wanted to make sure he was alright before I left. I was going to call you about it but never got the chance."
Interesting....the neighbors did say she looked surprised when the door popped open. Regardless of whether or not it was an accident she should have immediately called me and stayed out of my house. All she had to do was just shut the door again.
I totally understand about the doors our house was built in the 1940's so we have door problems off & on I wondered if the landlady was surprised by the neighbors sorta sounded that way to me itis also odd that the landlady said she though you were home and just not answereing the door.If you could move sounds like a good idea since she is a nosy landlady.
