Title: Waiting on the Dox-a-pult!
Post by: Dianne on October 03, 2007, 08:54:11 PM
Well, the time is coming soon when we will be joined by the latest addition to the family, Nugget!  We will pick her up at the Mid-Atlantic Doxie Fest in Manassas, VA on Saturday.

Everything is ready for her arrival and we can't wait!

Hi All,
I'm sorry to report that this adoption fell through.  We met with foster Mom and Nugget at the Mid-Atlantic Doxie Phest.  Nugget is a tiny, cute, sweet little girl.  However; when we discussed her "toodling" about; I did not realize that she is very limited in her ability to walk more than a few feet.  We have had disabled doxies in the past and our current senior, Patches is deaf.  I was hoping that she would be able to join us on our evening walks.  I'm afraid she was just too fragile and it wasn't a good fit.

So, we are back on the hunt for a senior girl, tweenie, good-natured and basically healthy!

Let me know if you know of anyone looking for a good home.

Dianne,

Where do you live?  I am in Manassas and was at MADP, too.  I was working the Dachshund Delights booth from noon to 2:00, so maybe you saw me there!

Be patient with the dogapult.  Sometimes it takes awhile to get its aim, but it has a very high rate of accuracy.

If you are close enough to Manassas, why not come to our monthly meet ups?  Our deaf little Boone always has a great time there, so I am sure that Patches would love it, too.  Bonus, there is usually at least one and sometimes three or more DRNA people there.  Yolanda is often there, and she helped us get Longfellow.  They can get to know you and look out for when your dog comes into rescue.  PM me for details if you are interested.
