First off, I would love to thank you all for the prayers... As, I posted earlier, my Gramps passed peacefully on the morning of the 28th... And, since there were so many rays and prayers, I wanted to share a couple pics with you all... The first one is of Gramps when he was in the Army during the Korean War, and the second one was taken just last Sunday when we went to see him, it is the last pic I will have taken with my Gramps... Thank goodness that my hubby was thinking and told me to let him take the pic.... He was a wonderful man, with 6 children, 3 step-children and 14 known grandchildren, and 16 known great-grandchildren... If you maybe could make just one last prayer that his journey is safely made.... Thank you all again.... I appreciate it...
Tara, it is wonderful that you have these pictures of your gramps. Again, I am so glad he recognized you. Sounds like he indeed was a very wonderful man....and so handsome in his youth. Hugs and prayers to you and your family.....May grandpa's journey be safely made :comfort:
Your Gramps passing is so rending for you. Try to keep remembering the good times you had together, cry and cry and cry, but remember the good moments. His recognizing you at the last is truly poignant. You are in our thoughts.
What wonderful memories you'll keep of your beloved Gramps. My heart and thoughts are with you.
I am so sorry I missed the news about your gramps passing. I just said a prayer for both you and your gramps. Thank you for sharing the photos.
So sorry for your loss. Grandpas are so special and sounds like yours was quite a guy!
I'm so glad you got that last photo! What a gift!! When my grandpa passed a month after Easter, we were lucky enough to have taken photos of the entire family snuggling up with Grandpa. We even got a bunch of photos of him smiling at his great granddaughter. Those were the most special. Remember the good times you had. Your grandpa was a very handsome man.
