Well...we are approaching the end of the listing period on our house (we only did it for 90 days). We have decided to take it off the market for now. The market has just softened too much and it really isn't worth it to sell it for the prices now (especially since the house we wanted fell through). We have decided to wait for a while and then instead of selling it keep it as a rental and purchase a house. According to an article that I read they are still expecting double digit declines in housing prices in San Diego over the next year. Who knows... We are a smidgen disappointed but not that much. We have a great place to live that we remodeled, a mortgage that isn't sky high (we bought 6 years ago) and Penny has a small yard...who could ask for more :hello2:.
So Penny is now back on the Pennycam :headbang:! She is going to my mom's twice a week for "day camp" but other than that will be at home on the camera!!
I am sorry that it didn't work out.....sometimes is just not the right time...... "Your" new house is out there somewhere - it will happen when it is meant to be !!! Hey - do you get to keep the comforter ?????
Look forward to seeing Penny again !

LOL - We do get to keep the comforter! :hello2:
Sorry you didn't have better luck selling. But Barb is right, the time just wasn't right!
Yea for Penny cam again! :headbang:
Just remember Kari...everything happens for a reason. It sure will be nice to pop in on Miss Penny from time to time. By the way...did you decide which of the pics you are going to get?

We did decide to get about 8 of them in 4x6 and a few 5x7s so we could do a collage and then she is going to do a coffee table book with all of them. We thought that was a good idea since we don't have enough wall space to hang all of them up - LOL!

You're right - it just wasn't the right time but at least we know that now and aren't wondering "if" we could sell and "if" we could buy another place. :hello2:

Wowwie....Pennycam again.... :headbang: Tis a Wonderful Thing :hello2: :hello2: :hello2:

I miss checking in on her when I am at work although she spends a lot of time in her house :verdict: so can't always see her. She is going to day camp at Grandma's tomorrow but for the most part she will be on the camera again :hello2:
Sorry to hear that about your house, but at this point, it is probably for the best that you wait. Jim Cramer, the guy from Mad Money, was on the Today show this morning, and he was saying that this is not a good time to buy. As long as you're happy where you are right now, that's all that is important.
And we get to see more of Penny (and her house)! :hello2:
Awww... We are sad to hear about your house. That is always frustrating. We are very happy that Penny will be back though.

Whenever someone says "everything happens for a reason" I think of a cartoon I saw that said "I don't believe things happen for a reason, things happen because someone screwed up." :2funny: Sorry. I don't believe in fate and destiny either, I believe we are where we are because of the choices we've made. And luck? We make our own luck, usually through hard work. I do believe in God, and that God helps those who help themselves. Okay....I'm going to step down off the soapbox now. :nana:
Kari, I am real sorry to hear that your house hasn't sold. It is a real tough market right now, everywhere. Up here there are so many new houses on the market that people with older ones are having trouble selling. Lots of huge neighborhoods with look-alike houses are going up around here. And some of those neighborhoods are filled with houses that are not selling.
What comforter???

What comforter???
Our realtor brought in a really nice comforter for our master bedroom :headbang: to "stage" it better. The day he brought it over Barb was on the Pennycam and saw him bring it in the house . I really like he so he said we could keep it :hello2:!

too funny - All I saw was some legs and a comforter come in the back gate and go into the house - I thought it was Drew bringing it in ! Very kewl that the realtor let you keep it !!!
Kari,
Sorry it didn't work out for you. I am sure the home you have now is nice, and you will get the place you want some day.
The real estate market just stinks right now. There is a foreclosure across the street from me, and one next door to me. the house behind us is vacant. The owners bought it in June of 2006, and tried to sell it for $40,000 less than they paid for it. It is still unsold and they moved last week. I don't know what the future holds for that place. I can forget aout selling my own home for awhile, with so many empty and deeply discounted homes on the block already.
We will just have to wait until things get better. Dontcha just hate delayed gratification?
