We finally got two minutes here home alone where we could sit down and enjoy opening our treat box from Tara and EmmyLou. Hallie has been staring up at that box for days, but it's been constant coming and going with cousins, etc (we also have been keeping my cousins 2 Papillons which Hallie loves having here) and the guys working on the utility room. We've both been looking forward to this (GREAT timing Tara you made our day!). It was so cute, when I set the box down I took a minute to take a photo and Hallie sat right next to it and started to whine...I have never heard her do that for a box lol. HURRY MOM!
What a great haul! I couldn't believe how much stuff was in there, Hallie was on overload, she'd take out one thing and start to play but then back to the box with buggy eyes lookign for the next treasure.
She got some great toys she has played with them all but her favorite seems to be horsie (my favorite too of course, fitting you sent a horse Tara LOL) which we've named EmmyLou  you can see in the pics, her pulling him out of the box by the tail and then her hair flying as she was "thrashing" (shaking) him back and forth real fast. And we named the neat blue fuzzy one Tara, so we'll never forget where they came from! She also likes "Buggie" she put her paw on him and gave him a groom job. Lots of yummy treats!!! Her favorite of all, of course. The squeaky foam guy was really funny, I squeaked it for her and her ears pricked up and she stared intently at it without moving a muscle. Waiting to see what it would do next I guess!
I got some great stuff too, a really neat book about Butch Cassidy which Tara's husband is related to! (how cool is that!). That will be an interesting read. And a T shirt to go with it! A couple of postcards with photos of Bear Lake near where they live, what a beautiful place! I'd love to see that some day. (does EmmyLou get to go down to the water and play?). I really love the bear batter bottle of muffin mix! I will actually make those (pray for my house...but I am going to try! :thumb:) I will save the bottle I love the label with the bear, I have always thought it would be so fun to design bottle labels. The hanging string of glass beads is beautiful I may hang that in the new utility room when they are done with it. Or maybe the kitchen....
Is that home made jam? It looks like home made jam! I am a jam person I often have a peanut butter and jam sandwich for dinner.
And the REALLY COOL thing....a dog shaped photo frame with a photo of Hallie in it!! Where did you get that photo? LOL! I couldnt' believe it, I haven't posted that particular photo for ages I don't think. But it's one of my favorites. I was so surprised.
What a wonderful treat box Tara and EmmyLou, we loved everything and like I said, your timing couldn't have been better...I am sorry we weren't able to open it right away but as it was, it was a bright spot in some hard days, we got to look forward to it and Hallie loved it and watching her made me laugh. You were too generous! Thank you so much.
And thank you Barb for setting up this treat exchange, it's so much fun.
Who will the next lucky pupper(s) and humans be? Hopefully someone who will enjoy a cage full o' live raccoons! (haha)

I love the flying hair while shaking the horse and the frame is just adorable !!! Thanks for sharing the "Opening of The Box" :thumb:
looks like you had major fun girlie. I had the box to send on the end of the bar the other day and they both just sat and looked like "is it ours"
The photo's are great as normal.
Enjoy the moment

WOW! What a haul, Dee Dee and Hallie! Great pics - I love Hallie patiently waiting for mom to take all of her pics before she could tear into the box!
Hi Dee Dee & Hallie.... Just got home from work... So very glad you enjoyed everything in there.... That is actually homade Choke Cherry Syrup.... My hubby makes it.... It is very yummy... And, the pic of Hallie, I searched through all your posts to find the right one... I loved that one, she is soooo beautiful... The photo frame looked like a Doxie, so I thought it would be great... Now I will have to go get me some... lol..... Oh, and come down anytime to see our lake... It is fun... We haven't taken Emmy there yet, not a bad idea though... Except!!! You know we have a rumor around here about a Bear Lake Monster.... Supposedly linked somehow to the Loch Ness Monster... Creepy, scarey.... But, you are welcome to come visit anytime... Just let me know and I will hook you up in the motel( a friend owns it).... They do a Butch Cassidy bank robbery re-enactment every July... Never seen it yet after being here for 11 years, but I think I might make it next year.... Philip was in it this year as the banker, and next year they want him in the "gang".... So, it should be interesting... This year they had it the weekend I was in Seattle... I am glad Hallie enjoyed all her toys... Emmy liked the foam thing too when I squeaked it... lol Note to self: get EmmyLou a foam thingy.... And, EmmyLou and I are honored to have you name the horse and the "racoon" after us.... lol Yes, a racoon... Figured that was a safer coon for Hallie to eat.... So, when we saw your post about the coons, and then went shopping, PERFECT!!!! lol Enjoy everything both of you... You deserve it.... Hugs to you both and some belly rubs to Hallie...
WOW!! What a great box!
HA Tara, Hallie was playing with her new toys again a little bit ago and she had "Tara" out, and suddenly I started laughing because I realized it was a raccoon and figured that is why you chose that one. I am a little slow on the uptake but I usually get it in the end!
Choke Cherry Syrup...OMG that sounds wonderful. I cant' wait to try it (I'm thinking it will be awfully good on ice cream! Or muffins!!). Should it be refrigerated after I open it?
OH yeah...show me a beautiful lake and throw in a mysterious monster to boot and I'm so there! I really would love to see it, (EmmyLou sez she wants to go hunt it down!) the motel sounds like a blast too that would be fun to take photos of, the robbery, would make an interesting painting or two. Philip sounds like a character and a real sport.
Funny you tracked down that picture of her! The frame DOES look doxie. It really was fun opening your box. :thumb:
And Hallie scores some goodies - what a haul! Brekke has been anxiously waiting for her to open that box...
Wow, what a great treat box!!!

Hee hee... Glad ya like the raccoon... My oldest daughter found that and showed (while laughing) and I couldn't resist... lol Yeah, I guess I should of told you that the syrup should be refrigerated after opening... We go through it so fast around here, that we hardly have time to refrigerate it... lol We love eating it on Huckleberry pancakes... Very yummy, but my friend in Seattle says you don't get Huckleberries up there.... Bummer... We didn't get any this year, it was too dry.... The lake, hmmm, well there are numerous drownings there, and just this summer a guy that drown 3 years ago (they never were able to find him), suspiciously popped up (literally) in front of two jet skiers, a ways from where he had drowned 3 years ago... So, that got the Bear Lake Monster stories going again... It is kinda strange though???? But, you just let me know if you & Hallie want to come down... We would love to meet you anyways... Have fun with "EmmyLou" and "Tara", Hallie... Hugs to you both... And, belly rubs to you Hallie...
:headbang: WOWWIE....what a great treat box and those pictures....too cute :2funny:....
