We get such few really nice days here and this week has been sun every day. So Hallie and I have desperately been trying to take advantage of it every day and been out hiking and taking photos for backgrounds, horses, birds, ducks, etc. I wish it could be like this all year long. The red arrow in the last one is pointing to a reflection in the water of the Kingfisher that we had been sitting there waiting over an hour to fly our way so I could get some shots of it. LOL.
Wow. I didn't realize til this how bad my shorter lens is. The quality of the first one with a different lens is way better than the bottom ones with the shorter one. I may have to go shopping!
...
OH, JUST BEAUTIFUL SCENERY (I'm talking about Hallie) AND THE TREES AND WATER ARE PRETTY TOO!! Is this area close to your house? Just gorgeous...and Hallie is the most photogenic baby ever!!! One of these definitely have to go on my desktop!
Beautiful - and I had to look twice in the last picture - Hallie looks like a chocolate/tan!
Those are great pictures! It looks like you're having great weather!!
So pretty! Hallie is the perfect model! Mine would have to be heavily sedated to sit that still! Some of those pics look like puzzles or something - soooo pretty!
Cheryl these are 2 locations both about a half hour from me (in opposite directions). With our sunny weather almost over I'm panicking LOL so we are venturing farther for our walks and photo hunts than usual. We're trying a new place tonight. :thumb:
LOL Julia, she DOES look like Brekke here, that is testiment to how bad this lens did! I think it's because it was opened up all the way maybe at a smaller aperture it wouldn't have been this bad. I was surprised as it's the lens I use for the indoor studio shots and it has done really well there.
We're loving this weather Kari it's kind of rare for us. That's why I'm so frustrated I don't dare let Hallie in the backyard alone now with the coon problem I'm so afraid she'll catch something!
lol Jenny, you will notice every outdoor shot of Hallie is pretty much sitting there, I can't get one of her candid usually, she just sits when the camera comes out and if I take too long I'll get the "oooh ooooh oooooh" whine, very quietly, but no change of expression. She can tell when I take the last shot somehow and comes running to me. She was this calm with the coons too I wonder if I should have her DNA tested like Karen did, to see if she really is a dachshund LOL.
I took the Zs on a hike this past weekend, too...their first since we took them in. They had an absolute blast traversing the Lower Magruder trail just outside of Damascus. I can't wait for the weather to get a bit cooler so they can really enjoy themselves.
Back in Rudy & Max's day, I would always take them on hikes into the woods. Of course, being adjacent to parkland definitely helped, but I would take them to the C&O Canal or to Lake Needwood and walk the trails there.
We get to do this sort of things when we go to nannies, mum says we go feral what ever that means, and we soon will be able to do it on our own block.
Dee Dee, OLiver always looks down when the camera comes out and Amy wants to sniff it. She is beautiful in all weathers.
