Her dog, Cocoa (I think he's a Yorkie), was hit by a car yesterday. He got hit in the head and was taken to the vet last night. Today, the vet said that Cocoa was up and walking, though wobbly and in a circle. He has blurred vision, but it seems to be returning. When my aunt went to see him, he didn't respond to her at all, and she is his favorite person. It's uncertain how he is going to come through this.
This is also the mother of my cousin who passed away from cancer eight years ago. My cousin's birthday was yesterday. My aunt and her family were releasing a balloon in her daughter's memory when Cocoa got hit. She just didn't need this to happen on this day of all days. Any rays would be greatly appreciated.
Rays headed her way! Keep us posted.
Rays heading her way! I hope her little dog gets better!
Those yorkies can be amazingly hardeaded. My uncle was practicing his golf swing in his backyad when his yorkie stepped forward between his legs and caught the full force of the club on his head. He was out and not breathing. My uncle blew into his nose and he came back and lived for several years after. Same dog fell into a pond and drowned a few weeks later, and my uncle did the cpr breathing and brought him back again.
Yorkies are tiny, but they can be tough, so hang in there!
Rays headed out ASAP for your Aunt and Cocoa... :comfort:
Oh Beth - that is so sad - what a horrible day. Sending rays and prayers - please keep us posted.
