Thanks to all the puppers and hoomans for the rays - they feel sooooooo goooooooood!!!!
My ear was big and full of icky stuff, but Dr. Haupt gave me some medicine and then I sorta slept through evey\rything. I woke up to fine a thingy hanging out of my ear.
Auntie Karen says I'm doing o.k. She's cleaning around it with hydro-gin rpeodixe - I can't read reel well - and putting tripple anti-biohazard stuff there. She's giving me lots of belly rubs and hugs. Maybe it's 'cause I'm growling every time she messes with my ear!
AND . . . she ordered a new macintosh laptop computer! That sounds so kewl!! And it's not going to cost more than what she'll get from the insurance dompany for the computer that was stolen! What a deal! What a country!
Gotta go. Arf, arf, arf!!!

As George Carlin would say, "she's on the road of broken dreams and shattered hopes, and she's next on line for the human sacrifice!"
Thanks, I'd rather stay lost!

Karen... I just read the post on Roscoe...I was out of town on business and didn't get to check in much. Still playing catch up with all the posts. Were they able to fix the Hematoma with just drainage? Does he have to wear a pressure bandage (or the dreaded ear condom as we referred to Toby-Man's bandage)?
I was just wondering how other vets deal with aural hematoma's. Toby had to have surgery after three weeks of trying to get it drained but he has this really oversize vien that kept bleeding. It was quite an ordeal. He had not bits or infections either. Weird....
Hi, I'm still playing catch-up on the new computer.
Roscoe's ear is healing nicely. He went today to get his drain checked. It's doing very well. He goes back in two more weeks to have it removed.
The first 24 hours were tricky. The drain had a clot stuck in it. I managed to pick it out with a needle and flushed the drain with hydrogen peroxide. Then I put triple antibiotic all around the drain, and cleaned the entire site several times. The draining is down to almost nothing, and th vet said I did a great job. But it's lucky for him that it is healing so welll.
