MUm bought me a NEW home, so I don't run and Iz is not HAPPY.

mum here she has now found her FEET, in her execises she is really pushing with her back legs and this has shown out in the Bolting brigade. We are now at a lose to what to leave her in next week. What did everyone else do?

That is great news that she is doing so well.....Bad news for you trying to keep her contained....... ugh !!! She has to stay penned up, to build her strength back up and not hurt herself. Will she stay in her new pen while you are not there? Can someone let her out a couple times during the day? SO hard to keep a good doxie down!!!! Wee Amy - don't give your mom a heart attack - stay still girl !!!
Way to go Amy! Glad she is getting so strong. We used the wire Xpen with Penny but she never tried to push it over so not sure it is any better than what you are using... Sorry...not much help here!

We used crates in several rooms for Zoe. Kongs with treats in them and knuckle bones were lifesavers for us.
The problem is we work about an hour away and ther is no one near we could get to let her out, plus control her. We thought last night we might contact the place she had the op we know they do daily boards and the physio is there and at least she would be handled the right way and she may be able ot get her physio done. Oliver has managed to cope up till now alone, we know he would freak if anyone came in the house. ( not get aggressive just go out the back and stay there. )
We have amnaged to tee up a handy man to redo their ramp out back so it is larger and longer.

The daily boarding is a great idea !!! Maybe Oliver could even go with her a couple days !
Daily boarding sounds like your best choice to me too. At least you know she'll be safe, albeit not too happy...but she wouldnt' be too happy at home either, as a friend of mine always says "into each life, a little rain must fall." Sucks!
Until you mentioned the daily boarding, I was going to suggest putting wee pads in and get her used to using those while you are home so she can go while you are at work but the boarding sounds like a much better idea.
Amy little girl you don't look happy in your piccie (but you DO look beautiful!!) your mum is doing this for your own good, be a good patient and you will be back running around loose in no time! :heart:
Maybe Amy would be happier if Oliver were in with her. Is that an option?

Wow I'm thrilled she is doing so well! I remember the trouble starting with Frank when he found his feet & legs after IVDD surgery. We ended up putting him in doggie daycare at our vet, Monday-Friday. I would drop him off on my way to work and pick him up on my way home. Delilah did just fine by herself, but she is not really bonded to Frank. I know this is probably too late, sorry.
Miss Amy, you keep on building up that strength!
