Hello everyone! Well, vacation is over and all company has finally left and hooman kids are back in school! whew! what a spin it has been the last 3-4 weeks! Well, Bandit is going to be 19 weeks old this friday and will have his last visit at the vets for his final boosters and rabies. Then next week on the 31st he will be having his neutering done. I am sure he will not be happy with me for awhile!lol
They are doing it on a friday so i can be with him over the weekend to make sure he doesn't lick the surgery site too much. It has been awhile since Max had it done. Anyone have this done recently? What should i expect? Is it hard to keep them from messing with it?
Also, couple of questions?
1. We like to go on walks with Max and Bandit can't quite go as far as Max and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what i could get for him to go along and ride?
2. Bandit has had an upset tummy lately and i haven't changed his food. It kinda looks like he is vomiting up hair balls sometimes and then other times its just flemy looking stuff? I know that sounds gross, but didn't know how else to describe it.
Enjoyed reading all the recent post! Hopefully i can get some more pics of the boys up soon!

When Clifford has his big boy surgery (way back 12 years ago) he was bounding all over the house that very night. I think males generally have a shorter recovery time for their neutering. I seem to recall being given some pain pills if he seemed to need them. If I was doing this today, I'd consider give him the pills just to quiet him down if he starts bouncing off the walls like puppies do. Good luck.
Feeding Bandit plain white rice for a day might help his upset stomach. When my guys are sick and throwing up, rice does the trick. It settles the stomach, soaks up the nasties and corrects the poopies if they have the runs in addition to everything else. Hope he feels better soon.
Have you considered getting a stroller for Bandit?
A couple of years ago we got a "PET STROLLER"for my one dog that is partially blind. He loves going for walks in it.The only reason I got one is because of his eyes;he gets scared real easy if he hears a strange noise. I have a little blanket in it for him.By the way I found it on e-bay! Get on e-bay and type in pet strollers.
I agree with Patty about the rice. Maybe add a little boiled chicken for flavor.
I have a Pet Pocket pouch that I use when I take Ilsa to the nursing home. She seems to like it and it's pretty comfortable for me also. I don't know what part of the country you live in, but if it's anywhere in the southern region, I'd go with the mesh one. I have one of the fabric ones and it does get hot. I live in Texas and should have known better, but, oh well. Ilsa is about 11.5 pounds. I got a large. I stuffed the bottom with towels to prop her up. I've often wondered if the medium would work. It's so hard to go by the weight because of their long bodies.
When my Bouvier pup had his broken leg at 12 weeks old I browed a wagon and took him to the park in the wagon it was one of those old Red Flyer wagons they had back in the 1950's.
