This morning when I went to retrieve the trash cans I opened the gate because I was leaving shortly. Well, before I left I went into the house to get my keys and as I opened the door out flew Eddie. Eddie has a tendency to know when the gate is open and makes a bee line for it and the front yard. However, mom, even with her arthritis, headed him off and flew down the ramp and managed to close the gate before Eddie even realized it was open. Is my baby getting old and doesn't want to roam anymore or was he too interested in the squirrels in the neighbor's yard. I hope it's the former, but I doubt it.

We had similar yesterday, the repair man from the big gas heater returned to finnish the job, he had just gone aound the side of the house and I was closing the fly screen when Oliver barrelled through. the front gate was edged, but he was more interested in the MAN on HIS land, funny thing is once he ran round saw him he then went behind my legs as if to say " go get him MUM" meanwhile madam was sitting at the family room window giving the guy hell.
We just gotta keep on our toes with these guys.
